    hi got a replacement alternator for my 99 is200 looks like a very easy job but for some reason i cannot get the top bolt out it will turn a little bit but that is it feels like its going to snap off as its so tight is there a special way of getting it out??? any help would be appreciated

    hi i have recently put a new battery on my is200 but now it is totally flat and have to jump start it but there is no battery warning light on the dash, could it still be the ultinator or something else flattening the battery?? ive checked if any lights were left on but nothing and after jump starting it and running it for a bit if i turn it off its flat again please can any1 help

    just checked turned out to be the high level brake light is not working thanks guys much appreciated

    when at biting point there is a wierd creaking noise from the drivers side wheel area i can sometimes feel like a judder in the brake peddle has any1 had this or know what it is any help would be appreciated

    when starting up the car the there is no light on but when u use the brakes the hand brake light will stay on constant. can any1 help, thanks

    Hi I have a constant squeak from the back end, I think It may be the shocker, wen bouncing up and down on the boot it's from the drivers side, would some wd40 fix it or could it be something else?? Thanks

    Who are u insured with? The cheapest i got quoted was 495 befor the interest on paying monthly with out declaring my alloys, im 25 with 6 years no claims driving for 7 years no convictions

    hi ive recently changed both front lower ball joints and track rods but there's still a slight knock coming from drivers side, any ideas of what it could be?? thanks luke

    And also just checked again the pads also have play in them! It's been doing my head in for ages thanks again

    Just had a quick look whilst parked up, the retainer clip has a bit of play in it compared to the other side, maybe it is that!!

    Hi I've noticed a rattle/clanking noise coming from rear passenger side, sounds like it's coming from wheel area, it does it mostly when going over speed bumps, it sounds like something maybe loose??? It's driving me mad as i can't find where it's coming from!! I took the wheel off and found the brake dust panel was loose I sorted it out but the noise is still there!! Please can any1 help

    I've just replaced both of mine and got the same problem, I changed track rods as well so thinks the tracking will need re doing hope this helps

    I had exactly the same problem!! Look on eBay some are quite expensive but sometimes u can pick up a cheap 1 I missed out on 1 it sold for £25! Good look with ur search

    i managed to find a 1999 silver 1 with immaculate body work and interior, 122k miles cam belt been done full mot and 3m tax it drives like a dream!! the only faults were the drivers side ball joint which was provided and the fuel filler neck needed replacing as it was rotten, apart from that its a really clean motor and it was only £1500 i got him down from £1700, in my nopinion its a lot of car for not alot of money!!

    I'm current running with a set of 18" inovit Tarmac alloys they're black with a red lip they look nice on my silver is200, I also like the bbs style 1's and 5 spoke chrome dish 1's look nice too
