    I would replace the unit, they can be found on ebay. Just make sure it's the same as yours as they are slightly different through the years

    Reverse is next to first gear, was an added safety feature incase reverse was accidently selected instead of 1st gear. I can say it has saved me once!

    Cambelt should be changed at 6 year/60,00 mile intervals. For peace of mind I would get that done if it hasn't be done by Lexus and proven. Rear sills will rust from the inside out. Lower ball joints are common to go. Other than that, treat it well and it will treat you well. Seen some with over 300k miles on the original engine!

    I was going to say try scrap yards, glad you found one. 100% it was stolen, that badge can't come off simply by rubbing over it. It took me some effort getting mine off with a screwdriver! I would use Epoxy Resin to stick the new badge in.

    Bought my IS200 6 and a half years ago which was in need of a new clutch. Since then, i've had the timing belt, water pump and ball joints replaced... Ohh and some new tyres. All other money spent has been on modifications. 6 M.O.T's 6 passed I'd rather spend the depreciation value of a new car, on an older car I own and modify it, that's just me. But we need people to keep buying new cars to help the economy even if it is a waste of money. I've had many tell me I need a new car, I ask why.. They say because mine is 15 years old. Ohh do you get a 'cool sticker' when driving a new car? I drive the car not the number plate! Going out in my 15 year old car now to drive and smile! :)

    I hope they are accepting liability for this! Can't believe people would so foolish to text while driving, especially on a motorway at high speeds!!

    Not every car seat is compatible with every car. Go on Britax website and use their fit finder to find a suitable seat.

    Yes we can look to arrange another meet in the coming months. I'm at Japfest this Sunday, so maybe arrange one for June, just need to get together and work on a location and firm date etc
