  1. Yep, that's what I mean. Now I just need to know if it's spot welded or bolted on.
  2. Hi Oddlegs, Sadly not, this talks about a front 'Fender' which is the bumber as we know it, I'd like the front left wing to be removed.
  3. Hello all, I have a 1999 GS300 and have a need to replace the front left wing due to some dents when the front left lower ball joint assembly failed :megaangry: . So the front wing has a nice crease in it and some chipped paint. Lexus have quoted just under a hundred pounds for a replacement which was a nice surprise . As you might guess for this price it’s unpainted but that’s another story. Anyway, is the wing just bolted on or are there some spot welds I need to drill out before I remove the wing? Any thoughts? Thanks Mark
  4. Afternoon all, I know this is probably the wrong part of the forum for this but I thought I'd post anyway. I live in Geneva, Switzerland and I've bought my nanny a GS300 to run my daughter about to her various groups etc. Anyway, it looks like I might be home around the first quarter of 2014! And frankly, I can't wait. I know it's a little way away but I was wondering if there would be any interest from you in buying it from me come 2014? I know it's not worth much and I know there isn't a huge market for it eitehr given it's a left-hooker but if you don't ask, you don't get. It's mechanically sound, both upper and lower from ball joints have been replaced, as have both front ABS sensors. It's also had the brake actuator replaced! So no nasty ABS warning lights on the dash! The inside is pretty good, the rear hasn't been sat in from what I can gather, but the front is a little tatty and the radio doesn't work either. The body if I'm honest isn't great due to the poor driving standards this close to France, each corner has a scratch or scrape. If there is enough interest I could be cajouled in to taking some pictures and posting them for you to see what it (currently) looks like. Oh, before I forget, it has a set of winter and summer tyres too, I cannot tell you how much grip you get from a set of winter tyres in the winter. Anyway, enough from me now, but if you have any thoughts on it, I'd love to hear them. Ciao!
  5. Well, I've done it. I don't know if it was harder or easier than I thought it would be. For anyone tackling this job who's not pretty competent, don't, it's quite involved, fiddly and time consuming. Oh, and remember to wash your hands before getting in the car to remove the bulkhead bolts too. Next on the list is changing the PS fluid as the steering is heavy and won't straighten up when moving and turning the steering wheel. Thank you to TigerFish and Steve2006 for their help, very much appreciated.
  6. Hello all, Long time listener, 1st time caller. Anyway, this weekend I have to replace the Brake Booster Accumulator on my nanny's 1999 GS300. I say my nanny, he's not my nanny, I'm 32, wouldn't that be silly if I still had a nanny. Anyway, I'm replacing it for what I would imagine would be obvious reasons by now to most of you, what I'd like from you is some tips on the best way to tackle this job! Here is an exploded diagram of what I'm actually replacing, the part number is 47950D http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_E_1999_LEXUS_GS300~430_JZS160L-BEAQFW_4702.3.html Thanks in advance for any help you can give. Mark
