  1. i've been thinking about this for a while. i'm going to change the standard orangey coloured dials to blue. does anyone have any idea what type of bulbs they are behind the dials??? thanks :winky:
  2. thanks mate. just waiting for a reply atm.
  3. I need the exhaust section just before the backboxes. mine is blowing on both the boxes on that middle section. Also an electric aerial. Thanks
  4. that's expensive for a set of wheels with no tyres and in need of a refurb. i saw a set of those on swapz.co.uk for £100 with tyres.
  5. can anyone tell me the correct battery size for my '96 gs300 sport. my battery has had it and it's slightly too big. thanks for the help guys :winky:
  6. this has been put on hold for now. considering a turbo setup at some point.
  7. have you considered a late model mk2 gs300. with the earlier mk3's they seem to have a few problems to be aware of but a late mk2 will have had the niggly problems ironed out. to be honest the mk2's don't look that old compared to the newer model bmw's etc. well that's my opinion anyway. lol
  8. i have a friend who is a self employed fabricator. he's built a few dragsters and kit cars, actually he's currentley working on a mustang fastback with a supercharged big block v8. he says he can help me with the fabrication and the fitment etc. ideally i need a list of parts for a basic setup minus the 'charger itself. once i've got the kit it's pretty much plain sailing.
  9. oh i know it's in the supra. i am unsure what changes were done to the engine when fitted to the lex though. maybe at some point in the future a single turbo conversion will be on the cards. i do like the whine of a supercharger though.
  10. alot of work then. i understand turbo's but never played with a supercharger. i'd love a single turbo conversion though.
  11. i've been offered a very cheap eaton m62 supercharger by a friend. my question is, is it alot of work to fit a supercharger into the 2jz engine??? what parts will i need other than the charger itself??? appreciate any help guys :winky:
  12. tbh mate i'd go for a late mk2. not only do they look better but being a later version of the mk2 they won't have so many niggly problems to deal with like the mk3's will have such as the ecu. having a mk3 would be nice, there's no doubting that. you could always go and test drive a couple.
  13. is this only a mk2 issue or are the mk1's prone to the ecu failing aswell??? be interesting to find out.
  14. i've got the same on mine. i'm just gonna stick a couple screws in it. it's the left inner wheel arch i'm having problems with. previous owner must've hit something
  15. there's a little key barrel under the steering wheel next to the boot release switch, try that.
  16. they may be able to fix the wheels, depends how bad they are. after a refurb though they will look good as new. i got a quote to refinish mine in graphite grey and polished silver, £200. that's pristine wheels near me.
  17. this worked a treat, remote locking is perfect now. thanks for the help mate :)
  18. checked the key in the glovebox and the little barrel under the steering wheel and it works ok. definetley the master key.
  19. key and fob it is then. i too hope it's the master key. i do have a code in the paperwork for the key so hopefully lexus will make use of that and sort one out.
  20. i only have one key for the lex so i'm looking into getting another cut and programmed. ideally i could do with another fob aswell. so can i get a key with the buttons on it from lexus or will i have to get a key and fob seperately??? also, does anyone have the part no. for the key and fob that i need??? the car is a mk1 1996 model. thanks
  21. i'm gonna look out for a double-din dvd with a changer either included or compatible. at least then i can swap the changers over and still use it. then there's bypassing the standard amp which is straight forward. i might even get a surround processor fitted and make the most of all them speakers. i had 5.1 surround sound in the probe with a touchscreen dvd player and the effect was brilliant.
  22. will i still be able to use the standard changer in the boot if i fit a double din dvd player???
  23. i think it looks pretty good being on a lexus gs300 with the first letters L300 B)
  24. i just got it valued at £250. not bad considering i got it free with the car.
