  1. Happy Birthday yacoob!

  2. i know a guy in luton, very good. used to come out, not sure if he still does though. Motaglaze Unit 6, Flowers Industrial Estate, Latimer Rd, Luton, Bedfordshire LU1 3XA Tel: 01582 511703
  3. front seat's are simple enough, you have 2 bolt's at the front & 2 at the back. once they are off, before you pull out the seat's, make sure you unclip from under the seat the airbag & heated seat connector's. for the rear seat's, have a look here................. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...r=all&st=25
  4. hi people, long time :duh: my rear driver's side door doesn't want to open unless i press the unlock button & pull the lever immediately ! it's been like that for a few month's now, about 7ish actually not had time to sort it, just got round to it but can't seem to get passed the inner door lever & tray. i'v removed the 2 screw's, 1 located on the door card where you pull the door closed & the other behind the inside lever. yanked out the door card, just stuck at how to remove the tray around the lever. does it slide off ?? can anyone help
  5. so i gather my is200 sport on a W reg 2000 is not an NON interference engine. how would i tell, anyone know ??
  6. It IS an interferance engine .............. so what i mean to say is , it's NOT a non interference engine ............ i'm lost here what is this all about
  7. hadn't been to hatfield galleria for a while so i thought of taking a drive down there yesterday evening. got on the A1(M) hitchin/stevenage junction, sped up to 70mph, suddenly 1 mile before junction 7 (stevenage), snap whizzzzzzzzzzz, car conked out rolled over to the hard shoulder to have a look, had a mate with me who was a mechanic who had a quick look & told me the cam belt seemed to have snapped & looking at the speed he reckons it may have damaged the engine
  8. nothing like that. i have connected from the cigarette lighter, the positive to act as a remote on & off power supply to my wireless devices. & since i have relocated the heater dials into the glove compartment, the 2 plugs which are connected to this unit have been extended about 12inches.
  9. this 4-in-1 has me BAFFLED about 2 weeks ago noticed that everytime i close any of the 4 doors on my is200, there would be clunk clunk kind of noise heard from the boot (nearside). now i know there is the alarm module there, so thought nothing of it on saturday night locked the doors via the keyfob & the indicators did not flash the once, pressed the button a 2nd time & they flashed 5 times, unlocked the doors again with the keyfob & got 2 flashes. just the 1st lock with the 1 flash not working. the next evening it was back to normal yesterday the keyfob would not lock the doors or open the boot, with either of the keys. locks would also not function via the button on the drivers door. changed the batteries, still no good suddenly the locking via the door switch worked & then didn't then while this wasn't enough, realised that the interior light when set to door, would not light up when the doors are opened without the keys in the ignition, the auto headlights would not go off when the drivers door was opened really getting annoyed with the lexus now :tsktsk: :tsktsk: did a search on the forum relating to central locking problem, but unfortunately did not come across anything that could help me resolve this weird 4-in-1 problem checked the fuses, changed the batteries in the keyfobs, disconnected the car battery, still no good i did however remove the heater dial unit & relocate it in the glove box, as i put my 7" touchscreen above the stereo unit & attached it to my wireless laptop, & not forgetting the usb hub hidden behind the glove compartment with an fm modulator hidden behind the headunit :winky: disconnected all this & still no luck removed it from the car, still no good :shutit: any suggestions
  10. so far so good, touch wood :winky: changed cd's too. CHEERS FOR PUTTING UP THE PICTURES ACRO & FLUFF34567 :winky: :winky: :winky:
  11. what cover do you mean when you say front ?? the headunit takes 5-10 minutes to remove from the dash & the removal of rear casing for the cd player including the repair i did, would take also about 10 minutes. i can't seem to put any pictures up here !!
  12. sorry for the duplicate thread, haven't been here for a while
  13. had enough of my cd player last week, it came up with the ERR3 message again. i needed an excuse to start on my carputer !! took the headunit out & decided to poke the screwdriver at it in anger. so took the rearcover off & noticed that the cd's where stuck diagnaly. there's 2 white wheel's at the top that move the cd's up & down. manully rotated the right spindle & the higher part of the cd's started to go down. when they were all back down to the bottom, plugged in the power & hey presto, we have music heres a picture to give you an idea................ A = cover hook (after removing the screw's, you will have to give a good hard tug to pull the cover free). B = 1 0f the 2 wheel's that will adjust the cd's up or down. C = this thick yellow line is how the cd's were stuck. D = the thin yellow area is where they a re supposed to be. by the way, my headunit is from a W reg 2000 model with the cassette deck on top & the cd below. good luck ;)
