  1. Nearly lost the exact same piece of trim down the motorway a few weeks ago, luckily for me(reading this thread about the price)it hung on until i pulled over and i stuck it back on later with a few drops of silicone sealant (it wont come off again!)seems yet another case of being ripped off,the linkage bar on the ride height adjuster broke on my rx its a piece of 4mm threaded bar 100mm long to any normal person. But to a lexus dealer it's only available with the ride height sensor for £360!!! i fixed it myself in the end. I do like my car but i doubt i'll buy another one.I bought it because lexus apparently top the poles in reliability and customer satisfaction ? im not sure who they're asking :winky:
  2. As ive stated on another thread ive had my car 12 months on gas with no problems,it was converted several years ago.Having said that im not convinced im saving loads and you will have to fill the tank lots if you do lots of miles.i'll buy a diesel car next time, but thats more to do with the general reliability of my lexus and the price of parts etc than the gas system.
  3. ive got the tank in the spare wheel well in the boot, ive had no problems running on gas for 12 months and the car was converted several years before i bought it. vauxhall have been selling dual fuel cars for over ten years as far as i recall. Lexus doesn't offer a diesel option on the rx either, maybe they know something we dont lol Seriously though, get the master cylinder recall work done first, because the dealer wont do it until you get the gas system removed out of they're way that cost me £80
  4. my local lexus dealer did my cambelt for £100 plus belt! while it was in having the master cylinder recall work.I didnt believe it myself until i handed over the money and drove the car away (sharpishly) i just told them i only wanted a belt as a local garage was fitting it and they matched the price if i had it done with the recall work! happy days
