Hey guys,
Cheers for all the help, wasn't expecting this much help so soon.
Firstly, I have an is200. Its a 99, only got it a few months ago.
When I left work earlier, I changed the low beams back to the standard ones that I had in it. Both of these seem to be working fine. When I was changing them, I looked on the lights and it said that they were 60w, I wonder if it would make a difference but it doesn't look like there is a fuse blown anyway thankfully.
Yea SparkyMarky, they are the ones with the blueish tip (not sure if they are halogen though ) Didn't know they were illegal so cheers for letting me know. To be honest, I don't really care as long as they make a difference in the dark while driving. And I can't see the cops in Ireland really caring too much about them. Altogether, I got three sets of bulbs. One set for the low beams (and only one of the bulbs works), one set for the high beams (which both work) and one set for the spot/fog lights at the front and now both of those don't work.
Cheers for your advice Ormi. It's lashing out at the moment so I wouldn't be up for changing them now. I'll try it at some stage during the week and see if that works. I contacted the seller too and he is sending a few replacement bulbs so i'll see how good they do when I get them. The only pain in the neck is changing the fog lights. They took me the guts of an hour to change, one of the most awkward things I have ever done :tsktsk: !
When I was changing them, there was no tug at all on the passenger side cable, I had to squeeze my hand down the little gap beside the fitting itself, not the best time to have gotten a cramp but I got it changed in the end.
Thanks again for your help guys!
