  1. I'll be in the position in the middle of may to put together are buy a turbo set up! Putting feelers out if anyone knows of or has one that will be comeing out about that time. Are if anyone wants to list all parts needed in putting together such a kit? turbo, injectors, intercooler, piping, oil feed and return, emanagement, manifold, exhaust piping, and prob few other bit and peices? Ive seen one think the guy owns it is off here but as ive just replaced my engine i dont want to buy another for along time. looking at £1000 to £1500 all in slighly more if needed been pricing bits and peices and think that is slightly relistic! Was thinking supercharger but £2k plus for 50 break cant bring myself for little gain were as turbo you can safely get more! Know a guy who owns a enginering firm so can keep costs down with costom works pipes ect and handy with a spanner set any help would be greatly welcomed i could be well of so if being unrealistic please also tell!
  2. anyone got a workshop manual or a diagram to show where it is located or how to fix it?
  3. how do i go about fixing this it doing my head in cant find anything on it!
  4. is it the brown connector on the underside of the manifold near the fuelline connection?
  5. i think it is the air intake control solenoid or something but where i can i find this part on the mainfold?
  6. p1651 intake air control solenoid? my guessing this is the sensor at the back of the intake with a gray plug? there also was multi missfire and the the codes for each cyclinder 1456 but was expecting that cause of over fueling
  7. Cant get my hands on a reader untill next week. Replaced the plugs and have spare coils so swapped the round and reset the ecu. After a little thinking and i forgot to say that there is a lot of whitey blue smoke and a realy strong smell of petrol from the fumes theres also petrol from the manifold.Ive put 20+ quid threw it and not even moved to the bottom of drive. Thinking it could be a faulty lambda sensor is there anyway checking this without the reader? The check light was on and the trac light was flashing but its stopped now and after taken the 2 sensors at the manifold out a quick blow out and clean put them back in and reset the ecu all lights seem to be of seemed a bit lumpy thow but was running out petrol to again dont want to get more fuel and try again cause all the money ive been spending on petrol could be going on parts.
  8. just discovered that the engine managent light is on and the trc is flashing swapped the coils around and reset the ecu the trc light is of but engmanagement light is still on no running as lump but stil a we bit?
  9. I just put an engine into my 2001 is i saw the eninge runnig perfect but now that i have it installed in my car it wont run properly. It starts but idles lumpy will rev out ok seems to be a fueling problem as it seems to run quite freely from the exhaust manifold at. When under rev. Theres compression could it be something ive forgot to connect up?? the timing belt seems a bit chewd up i wil be swaping it over but wanted to see if i can get it runnig right first; i have changed the plugs and tried different coil packs. seems only be the 1st and sixth cyclender.
  10. seems anywere i look the m45 is perfectly capable of running a 2l engine??
  11. Been thinking about this and going to start and put together a system myself but have come to the stange were need bit of advice. A eaton m45 super charger for a 2l engine rated for 2 to 3 liter with .75 of displacement but have been reading that the m62 is the one to go for but the displace ment is only .35 more and rated for 2.5 to 4l engines. so the question is it worth forking out another 200 quid for the m62? http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/ProductsServices/PerformanceProducts/Products/Superchargers/M45/index.htm
