  1. Hi The company I have got them from sent fitting instructions and said you don't need to remove hub just remove caliper to make access easier ? Cheers Al
  2. Hi I have had knocking on the rear and it felt loose and an advisory on the last MOT, my local garage have today confirmed its the rear hub bushes that need replacing that join the bottom arm. Lexus sell you the complete hub, the local factors don't sell the bushes so a quick look on ebay and found a very helpful chap who sells the bushes. To save money are the bushes easy to change or will it be back to the garage for replacment ? After reading the forum I guess on higher milage is200'e these are common for wear. Cheers Alan
  3. Hi Just checked the Halfords site, looks like it will cost more than 200 as the diff oil not include nor the correct plugs or pollen filter you need to pay extra, shame as £205 would have been a good price. I rang my local Lexus dealer today and was told on the essential servcing plan a major service would be £250 and they only change the oil, oil filter and Air filter ! Sounds like a major service to me ! I may get my hands dirty and do it myself ! Al
  4. Hi Looking to get a full service carried out, my local indy has quoted £300 plus VAT they have always looked after our company cars and have a good rep but not sure on the cost, the service would include:- Brake Fluid Change Coolant Change Power stearing fluid gearbox oil diff oil engine oil plugs all filters I think thats it but does £300 + vat sound like a good price ? The cambelt and water pump were done 20k ago so no probs there I have done lots of work on my own cars but dont fancy another weekend under a car ! Cheers Alan
  5. I was look at the custom fit setup from MIJ Exhaust from the West Midlands but im in two minds, would love HKS but big money ! Al
  6. Hi Ive had my IS200 for a couple of months now and love it ! Looking to fit a cat back system, any recommendation guys ? Ive been looking at the custom made sytems on ebay where you drive up and they fabricate while you wait but not sure if this is the way to go. What would you guys recommend ? Cheers Alan
  7. Thanks for your help guys, Ill leave my first choice alone due to the history issue, there are many on a well known auction site ill keep looking. Need to find one by the weeekend otherwise I will be carless. Cheers Alan
  8. Hi I am looking to buy a IS200 after having a string of cars in the last few months and always fancied a IS200 ! I have seen a Silver IS200 Sport 99 on a T plate in silver. The car has no service history, apparently the last owner lost it during a house move, the car has 6 months MOT and no advisories listed. Done 81k, the DVLA History check only shows 1 MOT the current one no others listed ??? I understand it will need a service and cambelt change if I was to buy which will stand me in a few pennies ! The owner wants 2k for it, I feel this is far too much due to no service history, I have been cought out before with a BMW 318 it turned ut to be clocked when checked on the DVLA MOT history check website. Interor looks mint, small dent on the rear quater panel. What do you guys think shall I put in a cheeky offer or move on and look for another ? Al
