  1. Try this and it will show you what your speedo will read with specific tyre sizes. http//www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.do
  2. if it's just leaking lexus do a complete rebuild kit for about £30.I had to do mine on a 2005 last year. It may be cheaper to get one from the states but the difficulty is Identifying the right one try Rockauto to identify the part and then shop around.
  3. Are you using the correct grease, Never ever use copper grease. Use silicon high temperature grease or if you can find it specific brake grease. I use silicon grease which has a very high temperature range and doesn't become fluid at temperature. Hopefully that should help although this does sound like an unusual problem do you have all the parts from the above exploded view because there are a couple of clips that act as springs which should stop the rattle?
  4. Yes thank you ,It was quite straight forward did not have to remove the pulley but I did have to go out and get hold of 2 24mm spanners which I didn't have. That's what took me so long the diy shops were closed when I needed them, It went back on a lot easier than it came off but bleeding the system took a good while. While it was off I noticed that one of the pipes was badly corroded so took it off cleaned it up treated and sprayed it. Its just today passed the dreaded mot so alls good.
  5. Started removing mine today what a job , considering most japs are tiny they sure know how to tighten the bolts. I have struggled all day and still haven't finished, Hey ho the perils of diy.
  6. A remanufactured one from rock auto for yours is £161 delivered to the uk it has a £59 surcharge but it would probably cost half that to send your old one back.
  7. My 2005 rx300 has also developed a leak. I have just bought a seal kit from Lexus at a cost of £31.95. Gates do the same kit in America for a tenner but it costs about £20 to get it over here. Having done the cam belt which involved loosening of the ps pump I would say it will take a good few hours to do so you would probably be looking at £400 from Lexus.
