thanks for the advice Mick i'll try that tomorrow as its currently getting an alarm/immob fitted, i had a very similar device on my old head unit in my civic except the usb connection was part of the head unit and i also had it tucked away in my glove box but thanks for the link aswell becuase if it does come to that id rather keep the unit in there and use the grom adapter

its a shame though i wanted to keep the oem look of the car and not throw and aftermarket one in there not to mention its double din so more expensive

i see so did you have a similar problem as mine? mine hasnt displayed any error codes but just wont accpet any cd's its strange

i thought proper HID kits came in a full kit with individual like packs for the lights ? all the kist ive seen they have a small black box that is coonected to them

you can always go to lexus main dealer also and buy a new one for £60

i have 19x8.5j all round with a et38 and 225/35/19 tyres and no probs, it depends if your car is lowered too

not to put your advice down mate but can anyone else confirm? is it a dealer job and no fix for it?

thanks for the fast reply, just tried this and nothing it didnt take the disc and still felt like there was something in the way it was making a usual cd changer sound though no crunches anything like that

I tried to put a cd in today the first time since its purchase and it feels like there is a cd already in there however ive not put any in and when i press eject nothing comes out and it just says waiting disc 1. is this the common radio fault ive heard so much about code 303 or something? or is this different? also i should say aswell just in case that this is the original head unit. thanks Craig

if you can tap them and they come back on that to me screams loose wiring or a broken termnal. do you know how to take your lights out? if so id take them out and just take a look at the connetion of the offending light -

you could always go custom its not too hard just some stainless and your sorted really and i know what you mean about the standard cover thing it is good i was thinking of possibly cutting a circles just enough for a short ram and then keep the rest. also to answer you initial question they only make a true difference when they are rolling roaded when the car can be programmed that it has a better air flow same with an exhaust or mani the true gain isnt until a dyno

recommened offset is something like 40-50 but you can go as low as 36 if i remember might be 38

yeah anyway after that condescending post, 9j is a little wide mate its fine at the back but youll want 8, 8.5 at the front hope that helps
