  1. I don't get it either. It must be faulty in some way. It's unlikely that both remote batteries would be weak, but it's still a possibility. Does anyone know if the lock/unlock rocker switch by the electric window switches would unlock the car? That's if I can hook something around to operate it. Failing that, I suppose a new emergency key from Lexus is the next step. It'll be a bit difficult proving the car is mine, considering all the paperwork is still in the glove box! If I can't get a key from Lexus, at least I can take my frustration out by smashing the windscreen with a very big hammer!
  2. Just bought the car, was cleaning it and left both keys by the gear stick. Shut the door and after about 5 seconds, all the doors locked. Managed to pull the lock/unlock button (by the drivers door handle) with a length of stiff wire. All that happened was the alarm went off, the door still wouldn't open and the door locked itself again . Do I have to pull the interior opening handle at the same time? Why doesn't the door open? The remotes are surely near enough to the door handle to register? What't the best method of getting in? If I picked one of the keys up with the wire and held it closer to the lock, would I be able to open the door? Thanks
