I was just going to post a new thread on the ICE. I have some old headphones but no remote. I am planning a trip to france and for the sake of everyones enjoyment I thought I should get the system sorted out. when we first got the car we tried looking for a replacement remote but could not find one, also the headphones were very temperamental (i changed the batteries) and I guessed it was down to the bluetooth or something not working working. At the time the thought was to change the DVD player and replace the headphones (but keep the screens) I think the cost was circa £400 to do this. Has anyone else got any experience in doing this and if so whats the most economical way forward? Thanks

You need to give the trim a good yank to get it off (unless someone knows do an easier way!) And Steve, don't leave it till dusk to do it like I did!!

its fairly straight forward. take the trim off. unscrew 3 screw / bolts (oen of them is on the outside of the cluster, the other 2 are up in the frame. once done use the thread of the 2 bolts you undone (they are fixed to the light cluster to push the cluster out. you then twist the light to take it out. you then unscrew the screw that holds the cover on and remove it. it is failry straight forward - I managed it!

Now I've managed to get the trim off etc.. I would be interested in getting details of the LED lights as well!

I finally got round to removing the bulb shields yesterday. It does make a vast improvement although I've yet to try reversing in complete darkness. Once you remove the shields you can see why the lights were so dim, not only does it cover 180degree angle but also most of the top of the bulb (ie the part that faces out towards the rear). Worth doing. Gareth

Thanks Duncan. I wasn't sure if that would rip the pipe? Also been trying to see where the hole is under the car (not helped with it being so dirty!) but wondered if I should see whatever input through at the bottom. Cheers

hi all After the inital problem, summer arrived and the problem went away. its now back and following on from more research and some tests, its clear that the issue is a blocked sunroof drain pipe on the drivers side. i tried yesterday to clear it but th wire i was using was not srong enough to clear it. i wondered if anyone knew of anything I coul purchase from a B&Q or similar? also (i think i know the answer but) when you put something through the drains, will it come out at the bottom and be visible under the car? thanks a lot Gareth

i havent got round to looking into this further but coincidentially some git knocked the front bumper just before we noticed it so DBS 's theroy could be right. i'm going to investigatet this weekend but do let me know if you find any other possible causes / solutions. cheers Gareth

thanks Dbs - a goos starting point. it does have a sunroof but i'm perplexed as to why its only the drivers footwell! will let you know what i find out cheers
