  1. A bit more info on this, the inside switches immediately lock and after using it a bit more it seems to be about a 4 second delay to lock the car using the remotes. Anyone got any ideas?
  2. I had this on my one about a year ago, it was the sensor but MAKE SURE they change the right one as some of the plans show it as being the wrong one, so don't pay if the error is still there!
  3. Hi all, In the last couple of days my central locking is taking approx 10 secs to unlock the car. Locking is immediate as before. It seems to have started since the snow.... The same thing happens with different keys so I'm guessing its something to do with the car itself. Any ideas? anything I should be checking etc? Cheers GUY
  4. Thinks mines about £430 with Sainsbury's so another one to add to the online list and you save 10% if you pay with one of their credit cards.
  5. What other celebs have a RX300? Feddy Star has one, anyone know of any others?
  6. Aren't the FM related ways of listening to IPods actually illeagle in the UK???????
  7. Same here Mark 1 rear wiper is pants and never clears it properly even with new rubber !!!!
  8. I have a Mark 1 with all the extras (including the weight of them!!!) I manage to get between 300 and 375 miles on a tank depending on how careful I drive and how much is on a motorway. This is on standard Sainsburys Unleaded fuel. Seems to be a sweet spot at about 60 and 85 for some strange reason?!?!? Filling up is £50 plus at the moment due to the price going through the roof!!! I tend to not like using the AirCon due to the charcoal smell so I guess this could make a difference as well.
  9. So you guys are telling me that the Mark 2 doesn't have anywhere to store Sunglasses.... ha ha ha well thats it then I'm sticking to my Mark 1.
  10. Yeah I may be interested in them, how much? Are they left over from some of the 20" you have been fitting?
  11. Cheers for that, I was waiting for the plug something into it as well :D First tank of fuel £51 for 360 miles taking it careful so over 14p a mile is that the same other people are getting? :duh: Had one of the new RX's for a bit as a long car and it was ok :winky: but have also test driven a Cheynne Turbo which at £100K for a decent one is a bit expensive!!!! but very very nice B) Cheers
  12. Hi, as a new RX300 owner (51) I have a couple of questions about bits that are bugging me and wondered if anyone had any answers. 1. Sat Nav - This seems to be about 50 yards out!!! when I mark a POI it sometimes gives me the wrong road!!! - Any Ideas??? 2. Door activated Interior Light - I have a roof mounted DVD in the back (instead of a light???) and I'm not sure I can get the front internal light to be activated when the doors open. 3. Fuel Consumption - There seems to be a couple of 'Sweet Spots' around 2.5K 2.75K revs, what's the best for MPG? 4. I also have a tow bar on it, is there a simple way of checking if the electric socket work. 5. OK now the hard one -Whats the 'Lock??? - can't remember what its called at the moment' switch for by the gearstick??? 6. Any other hints and tips for a new owner - stuff that needs checking, etc. This is my first own RX after 3 GS Mark 2's so be interesting to see what the response is! Cheers GUY#48
  13. I have to agree with the TVR driver, I have a T reg silver GS300 sport with 46K and was offered 12K as part of a trade in by a Lexus dealership and that was with it still being under Lexus warranty so no probs with realiability, etc. I guess the trick is to sell privately and buy through the dealership to get the years warranty. And to be honest the extra the sport cost me over the SE just doesn't seem to be worth it, looks nicer but with the crap roads in the UK it lurches all over the place. Quick but not speedy (maybe NOS required? :zee: ) and doesn't stop like it should. Seemed to have more fun in a RX300 that I had for a week recently! :duh:
  14. Yep, covered in lots and lots of F&*@"%>| rust, not like my other two at all!!! :yack: T reg so not sure if that helps with the rattle??? Oh and by the way, use a Lexus qualified Toyota garage for servicing and save 40%!!! Its back there at the moment while they try and sort it out as well as the damage that the crap bodyshop (Curry Motors) seem to cause when it goes in!!!! :tsktsk: Comes out more knackered than when it went in!!! Is this a case of the mechanics having joy rides in a Sport??? Philip is the sales bod I use who has been quiet helpfull but its getting to be beyond a joke. Bought it from a Lexus dealer to get the years full warranty due to the mileage I can sometimes do, but this car has only done 46K. So nice sales bods but don't get it serviced there!!! Laters
