Thanks for help guys,iv checked for moisture and all seams perfect. .i done reset of ecu and no change. .i removed the dome fuse in passenger footwell and everyting went back to normal except for no remote locking or alarm. .so im tinking the main problem is there somewhere. .i must look into the ignition switch and see what happens. .will keep posted. .thanks again

Hi all iv a bit of a problem,after been parked up for 2 weeks my battery was pure flat,not even ignition lights so i removed battery and put it on charge over night. then today put it back in my 2000 is200 and it started perfect,i went for drive and came home,this is where it gets weird!! i turned off car and took out key and my ignition lights were on,batt,engine light etc...it started straight away then turned off car again and thelights still on,even the heating working without keys. i had to disconnect the battery now over night to have the lights off If anyone could help me it would be great,iv searched forums and couldnt find anything :( Oh i did have bodywork done to left (passenger) wing few weeks ago if this could have done something to it Thanks in advance

Thanks,iv had quick look and no sign of moisture,im of work wednesday so il dig deeper behind fuse boxes and see. .will let know how i get on

its all sorted now,replaced fuse but dash lights still on without key,so got key started car,left it running for 5mins,knocked it off and no ignition lights,got out pressed lock and it worked,working perfect since so happy out :)

Hi all,iv a strange prob with my 2000 lexus is200 s, it all started this morn,i went out as usual started car with heating on to warm up,made coffee and sandwich for work as every day,went out to car and was smell of burn,thought was heating so turned it off,went to work,parked but couldnt lock it with remote,noting from it at all when got home from work checked fuses and by the passenger door the 7.5amp fuse for dome was gone,this is where gets very strange,put in new fuse and my heating turned on along with oil light,airbag light,etc, and even fuel gauge rose as if ignition was on,but the keys were in my pocket. i dont know whats wrong with it,oh ya the interior light wont work with doors open now either,only will work when ignition is on any help at all would be great and thanks in advance Paul

The only thing that reminds me of is the front slide pins. .it common prob. . Go for drive and have all windows down between buildins and press brakes and listen for the sound. .thats best thing i can think to do for now. Does the car pull to side when u brake hard

Just check guard thats round back of disc,even to see is it bent and rubbing of the disc. .now that i think a year ago i had a rubbin noise frm back wheel,couldnt know what it was,i took caliper of and removed disc and the back of disc had loose bits of metal where disc meets hub and it was causin al the noise. .i just tapped the rusty metal of wit hammer and prob solved. .it sounded like a scraping metal noise. .is that what your gettin? It didnt take long to do so it mite b worth checkin. .jack up wheel wit car in neutral and handbrake of and spin wheel. .u will hear it then if its that

The rear calipers have glide pins,they go through the caliper and the brake pads, you have to remove this to take pads out. . Thats good point steve,it could be the guard,it be worth checkin out

Hi, Does anyone know where i can get the rear bushes that are mounted on the hub for my 2000 is200? as they are rattling now and there is play in the rear wheels! lexus tell me iv to buy complete hub and bearing, for 1 bush on each side,id hate to see bill for that, there has to be way of buying bush on their own iv checked ebay but no luck :( they seam to have every bush but this one has anyone had this prob?? any help at all would be great :) Thanks in advance :)

Is it a rattle from the back,i have this,i thought for ages my rear suspention was gone but it was the pads rattling on the glide pins,its not a prob,just anoying,hpe this helps :-)
