I have one in my car, was a bit lucky as the previous owner bought a genuine Lexus one for more than £250. Its perfect it really is worth it, makes my driving more comfortable :)

I just had my car checked out by an independant garage because my timing belt rattles like mad at 1500 rpm. The mechanic suspects it could just be hitting the cover but after I read this post I highly doubt its just that. Im hoping he dusnt find anything else wrong with the engine and he also said it could cost up to £200 to have the whole thing replaced - definatley worth going to an independant garage.

Thanks for your help, I assumed it was the belt aswel but I wasnt too sure, at a closer look I realised it was coming from inside the block :s I might be wrong

Hi, I just bought my is200 yesterday and I already noticed a problem. At 1500rpm there seems to be a rattle coming from the engine. I slowly built up the revs to about 5000rpm and there was no more sign of it although it died out slowly as I built it up. Im a bit worried because I dont know what it is and wont know how much it will cost. My car is a 2000 model is200 with 82000 miles on it. Can anyone help me please? Thanks
