  1. I'm quite keen in this body kit too...guessing the kits do not include exhaust split?
  2. Iv just ordered HID Xenons 6000k for my 220d but gonna ask a mate to fit lol
  3. I was gonna ask similar BUT it's not for me to watch more so for passenger. I have been told it is possible - though lexus wont do it obviously. Any Car audio specialist will do it ....it's a connection to the handbrake that needs disabling. Some of the map features are also disabled when driving on the Sat nav
  4. After rear bumper lip BUT maybe interested in front lip for IS 220D ? Any pics and how easy to fit mate?
  5. Whatever floats your boat, it's your money after all. There's a 220D (think it's a 2006/7) for sale on PH that the owner reckons has had £50K's worth of work done on it, mostly cosmetic. Here it is, it was also on EBay, but found this article from Fast Car ( ) http://www.fastcar.co.uk/04570735435373883708/modified-lexus-220d.html Eurgh! Yack! The place that customized his car must have seen him coming a mile off! What a weirdo!
  6. Phhhhheeewwww! Finally some reassuring reads about the IS220d! I am a week into being the proud owner of a 2006 IS220D SE ( the one with all the gadgets including Bluetooth phone setup which works really well and reverse camera!) Love the leather interior, love the quite refined ride and low engine/road noise. Steering is responsive and spacious in the back. Yes the gearbox is clunky and I do notice it more having driven a superb Accord Type R (gearing was amazing short shift ratio) but I am learning to adapt my driving style. Fuel economy is mid 30's for me as I'm still changing driving style from the harsh heavy footed Type R punisher! Love it....bought for economy whilst enjoying the little luxurious. One question though....has anyone know of anyone or wether it possible to disable the safety message on screen? Also anyone known of how to disable the safety feature that prevents DVD from playing when moving (dont be silly - it's not for me to watch!) Long live the 220D!
  7. Wow Those ring lights....wonder how much an how easy to change on an 220D
  8. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ em you dont.......its chain driven Ah right...just when the lad mentioned timing belt change above I thought it was belt as opposed to chain driven.
  9. Thanks Carl...you have pretty much hit the nail on the head tbh. Here's to getting used to the refined executive drive
  10. Really? Can you advise what the recommended timing belt change is on an IS220 D ( Sept 06 reg) Thanks
  11. Just a quick hello from a recently acquired Lexus IS 220D owner. I have the SE model with extended multimedia kit - previous car was an Honda Accord Type R which I miss terribly. Tbh this Lexus was not amongst my first choice of new vehicles and even though it's a lovely car I have not taken to it as I did my Accord :( To top it off, a relative has just advised me of high oil consumption and turbo lag/ flat engine which as you can imagine having driven a VTEC engined car is gonna be sn issue! Apologies for doom n gloom 1st post....think iv wandered over here to seek solace from fellow Lexus owners :)
