  1. Just recently had car returned to me after having a new head gasket fitted. The car is now showing check vsc, warning triangle light, traction control loght and engine management light. These lights seem to be a default set of lights with many faults. The fault codes were read by Lexus and they came out with there is a problem with the air flow sensor after the cat. I'm hoping it could be a loose connection or similar after the engine has been replaced. But where do i find the sensor to trace the wiring through? If it does turn out to be the sensor how much am I looking at? fingers crossed no more probs after this because I love the car!
  2. Has anyone got a towbar for sale or knows where i can purchase one from for my IS220D? Have been on ebay and the best price I can find is £175 for a detachable witter bar.
  3. left the car running on the drive to see what occurs under the bonnnet. after a couple of mins - coolant resivoir seems empty after five mins - level of coolant starts to rise after six to seven mins - coolant starts to boil and escapes through overflow pipe from cap car still seems to run ok the majority of the time but will lose its grunt on some occasions when temp rises. when the cap is taken off coolant tank when cooled down there is a large whoosh and the pressure can be felt. checked with Lexus and the warranty period is up to 111 000 miles. thanks for your replies
  4. joking my car no longer falls in the extended warranty period, although it is only 3 years old it has done a mammouth 132 000 miles. thanks for the reply though
