Just get a set of roof bars and some roof mounted cycle racks. I got a set of genuine lexus bars for cheap and only paid £10 for a rack on eBay. -
I'm sure if you want to replace the headunit (reguardless of the make) you will need the cable to the amp. As standard the car doesn't have ISO leads. The replacement amp wires have the ISO plugs on them! JayJay

Earlier today I put £25 of petrol in and the gauge didn't move at all. Instead of increasing its just started decreasing as normal. It's not the first time this has happened. To fix it before ive just put abit more petrol in and the gauge jumped up. Has this happened to anyone else? Cheers JJ

I don't have a clue on the rear speakers size I would guess at 6x9. Try searching the forum. Just If you get a twin box make sure it fits in the boot before you buy. I got mine off eBay, I think it was about 33" wide and the boot space was 32 3/4" so I pushed in tight against the trim and doesn't slide about when driving!

yes subs and amps can easily be fitted, ideally you need an aftermarket head unit as they have specific pre outs although im sure the could be wired into the standard unit, running wires through the car is easy enough aswell, the main choice is what subs to go for and how many! heres the only pic i have of mine: 2 12" vibe slicks with a vibe amp (not the best but the quality is good, only cost my £120 to do aswell)

Yeah I saw that other thread. Cheers clossie. I have no problem with swapping the wheel over at mot time or wiring a resistor in, just woundering where to get a boss from really. And if anyone has pics of wheels fitted? JJ

Has anyone fitted an after market steering wheel? Pics? Also where did you buy the steering wheel boss? I can only find onne online on eBay? Does the airbag light come on when fitted? Cheers JJ

I know its my driving style, a tank is normally 280 miles sat in the outside lane of the motorway, then the rest would be short trips around the doors or B road blasts. i know if i sit a 50 i will get better mpg, but i simply dont have time to do it!

i normally average 360-370 till the petrol light, the most ive ever got is 415 before the petrol light!

I have the same problem. I recently fitted a new clutch and release bearing so I think it's the input shaft in the gearbox!

This is a great cheap mod to make your car unique. Especially since it cost less than £10 to do! -
me and a mechanic mate did mine on a ramp, didnt take too long, a couple hours, if your doing it on your back then it could be tricky but definatly possible! quick run down: remove gear stick from inside the car, split the prop shaft and remove, remove clutch slave cylinder, undo all gear box bolts and remove (the gear box looks really heavy but its actually really light, lighter then the one on my old peugeot 106 gti!) only thing we needed to borrow was a really long socket extention, the access to the top gearbox bolts is very limited! there is a guide somewhere where the guy did it on his back! hope this helps JJ

i have eventually had my car aligned, i had to hieghten it abit but it was worth it, the garage sorted the rear camber and did there best with the front but its still too low at the front so he couldnt really adjust it, need some adjustable top arms, but still i had great service at http://www.quicksalesportsandperformance.co.uk/ in ferry hill

Can anyone recommend a good place to have a four wheel alignment done in the Durham/Sunderland/newcastle area? I need the camber sorting! I spoke to revolution motorsport and they claim there's not much you can do about camber and most is owners remove there coilovers! This can't really be true??can it?? Thanks JJ

I've never had a problem with speed bumps. Unless there massive. The down side with the coilovers is I have ruined a set of tyres due to a massive amount of camber. A 4 wheel alignment is defiantly in order!

im sure theres no law on plate size (obviously no motorbike style plates), aslong as the letters are in the standard prefex size with some reflective surround they should be fine, ive never been pulled for my front and rears.

so is it the 51mm plug you need?

they do have camber adjustment, is it front or rear? best off getting a 4 wheel alignment done from a garage
