My car had timing belt done at 64000 on paper, so i thought my belt would be fine, until i read all the posts on this site and i dicided to have a wee check. Well was i shocked to find that i had only a hair left holding it all together. Yes the belt had been replaced but the pullies hadnt and because of that the belt had been rubbing more and more and stripping it to pieces. Well new timing belt kit ordered and hope to be at the house when i get home, and then push down the hill to a nice guy who is fitting it. I want to thank this site and everyone who has posted on here with the advice and saving my lexus to live another day.
