My 92 GTT just failed it's MOT because no ABS light came up when the car is started. Can someone confirm that it should? I've never noticed and have a sneaky suspicion that what the tester was looking for could be found if he pressed the 'scroll' button on the dash. Please enlighten me. If the ABS light should come up and isn't what should my next steps be? Thanks in advance!

Someone has decided to have a crack at my passenger side wing mirror housing taking a big chunk out of it. I need to replace the casing, but having experienced this situation before with my drivers side mirror I found it impossible to get anything but the full unit. A very kind member of another forum actually managed to purchase my drivers side mirror from a breakers in Japan for just over £30! Unfortunately I have lost his email. Anyway I was hoping someone knows of a silver soarer being broken in the UK as I know how much the units are new (thank *** I don't have the heated ones!!) Many thanks in advance Dan Jones

I just bought an IS200 front badge from Lexus Isleworth for £5.60!!!!!!!!!! Much cheaper than a Griffin! The SC430 rear badge was £25 which put me off as my current one leaves just one hole in it that I have put a rubber bung in.

My Midas gold plated griffin lasted about a year, which I suppose isnt bad. Its just a pain to keep replacing them! Come on someone out there must have fitted the Tifbitz 'Biggun", any pics?

Go to http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/ then select 'Products & Services', then 'Electronics', then 'Top Speed Delimiters'. You have to scroll down to the bottom of the page. I think I'm gonna call him and ask about the gear change...unless you want to :) You seem to know what you're talking about...well compared to me I've emailed him before, his names Peter Betts, he has some sort of electonics qualification. I would be very interested to know what you think before I buy :winky:

Just thought I should let everyone know about this really cheap tyre website: www.mytyres.co.uk My friend recommended it and said that Toyo tyres are really good! Think I'm gonna go for PROXES T1-S. I think £82 delivered is a great price per tyre. Just thought you all might like to know, obviously there's still the cost of getting them fitted

Now i've seen the chrome griffin on Tifbitz...mmmmmm...very nice! I think I'll just wait till i move house and get one of those instead! Anyone got one and managed to keep it on their bonnet? :D This is a stupid question, but is it the same size?

I am a little confused. Tifbitz has an mph converter so the speedo never goes over 180, hence I can't see a problem with gear changes. I was about to just buy a delimiter to avoid affecting all of the other settings. My dad bought a Mk3 Soarer 6 years ago which already had a delimiter fitted and had no problems with gear changes over 180 kph. However I always found it rather disconserting when the speedo read out stuck on 180 kph and you were still accelerating. Its strange not knowing how fast you are actually going! Has anyone actaully had gear change problems over 180kph on a TT with a delimiter?

http://www.thor-racing.co.uk/ I am looking to buy a speed delimeter and these guys were recommended to me. However I just want to check with all you Soarer experts that this is a good one! My fear is that the progressive power steering and other functions that adapt depending on the speed will be all out of sink with this 5/8 adjustment of the speedo. So, who has a delimiter from Thor that can reassure me? Or can you suggest an alternative? Many thanks in advance

Yeah I put a standard 'L' on the back as soon as I got it 4 years ago (had to put a little rubber plug over the hole that gets left). I like the fact that the gryphon is a one off, but suspect thats why it has been pinched! The last gryphon was gold from Midas cost under £50, now they don't seem to sell them whilst the Lexus Soarer owners club charges £39 (all in) for a normal one. I will probably end up getting that, but wanted to investigate the 'L' options. Does anyone know if the SC430 'L' leaves any holes in the front? Infact, does the big back badge still leave that one hole in the back? Thanks

:tsktsk: Before I go out and buy another gryphon can anyone tell me which is the best 'L' badge to get i.e. one that covers all the holes (ideally). Alternatively maybe someone knows where I can get a cheap gryphon. I don't want to put an L on really, but fully expect to lose anything else I put on. Maybe the answer is a Skoda badge as suggested on another post!

I wanted to know what gas I should get my air conditioning re-pressurised with. It used to be detailed in a posting on the www.lexusclub.co.uk site, but they closed down their forum! It's a was a big shame, I assume everyone has started using this discussion forum. Is there any point in asking Jimi if he will add a link to this site for those wishing to talk to other Soarer owners. In my opinion he lost the whole community feel when he got rid of the discussion forums. Oh well I'm sure his Auction page is making him more money now!
