I have had the 2007 Lexus SC430 for two weeks now.
I travelled from Hartlepool to Widnes on Sunday evening and then back on Friday afternoon. I decided to try economic driving, so filled the tank and set off down the A19 - Set the cruise to 60mph. Continued onto the A1M then the M1 and onto the M62 - obviously had to brake and accelerate occasionally to overtake the "other" Sunday drivers, covered approx 154 miles achieving an unbelievable 38.2 mpg average.
After daily trips to and from work plus driving back during the motorway rush hour at around 17:00 hrs - initially constant braking to standstill then accelerating up to 70 mph etc - whenever possible I set the cruise to 75 mph and once back home the trip computer showed that I had covered 339 miles & averaged 33.2 mpg for the week...
Who needs LPG??? What a magnificent car - it's like a magic carpet ride - can't stop smiling when I am driving it.
