  1. I made one of my infrequent trips onto Autitrader this week and was surprised to see a couple of late (with the new gauge cluster) ISFs for sale in the 15-17k GBP price range, and with reasonable mileages. Admittedly the lowest price one was a Cat S, but even so it seems prices are on bit of a slide for the ISF since I looked about a year ago. Is that a correct assessment, or just with this week's choice on Aurotrader?
  2. What a bunch of short-sighted idiots not providing values for cars over ten years' old LOL!
  3. This is what I have in my ISF: https://www.modinjapan.com/toms-racing-japan-air-cleaner-super-ram-ii-drop-in-air-filter-for-lexus-is-f-rc-f-and-gs-f-17801-tsr35-tms-17801-tsr35.html
  4. Out of interest, which battery in that link is compatible with the ISF, and does it have an accompanying app you can manage it with? Also, generally, what are the advantage of these batteries given the massive price hike over normal ones? Thanks
  5. I don't think I'm adding any new input here, but my tuppence worth is to suggest that you consider the 'Marginal Utility' of keeping the car, and enjoying it, versus the cash in the bank if you sell it. If the wolf is at the door, then the cash is more important, but if you can afford to hold onto the car and enjoy it, rather than sell at a poor market price, that may be a better option at the moment....
  6. Only overweight reviewers on TV/YouTube complain about the rear seating, actual owners usually don't even notice there is any issue. Right guys?
  7. No criticism, but being bit of an ISF geek, and knowing how reliable/well made they are, I aways find vague comments like "One to give a miss" etc disappointing. Would be great for the education of the rest of us if people can give specific details when saying a car for sale is one to avoid (e.g. 'looks like a crash repair looking at the paint and shutlines" or "the engine was noisy from the top end with a loud rattle" etc). Thanks 🙂
  8. Given the rareness of these run out models, if I was in the market for one, I would definitely drive over and look at this car in the metal and take it out for a drive - there is only so much select pics online can tell you. If you know your onions I think you'd soon know if it was a pup or not.
  9. Good luck and all that, I have to say I am coming from the opposite direction and looking to hold on to my analogue ISF for as long as possible, before I have to hand in my ba**s and migrate to an EV. I really, really, don't get the attraction myself, but then I don't have to commute as such, if I did, and needed a main car, I can see the case, but it would have nothing to do with driving experience, love or passion. no offence meant...
  10. Looks really good - doesn’t look like you have any alignment issues? You did a great job.
  11. Out of interest how long have you had yours fitted? Also, issues with sun fade with the laquer and did you get it coated with anything before fitting? What is the general fit and alignment like? Sorry a few questions there :)
  12. Siebon is probably your best bet, they have a UK subsidiary/importer, all seamless once you order. You have the option of an original bonnet shape in carbon fibre, or the one with the oversized vents that looks like it is out of the transformers movie. You're probably looking at GBP1, 500.00 with VAT and delivery.
  13. Apologies for the gratuitous pic of my car I took today, but I really think the ISF looks even better ten years on than it did when still in production!_no subject_.eml
  14. I have a GR Yaris also, good choice, as you say the two cars (my other is an ISF) compliment each other nicely. Enjoy! 🙂
  15. So am I - visually they look the same size, but having initially ordered a LHD pair I can confirm they are very different sizes LOL!
  16. It seems he no-longer does RHD wingmirror covers either for the ISF, and hasn't done so for some time. Given the low numbers of RHD ISFs looks like these are as rare as hen's teeth to get hold of. Ho hum etc...
  17. Thanks - I'm not on Instagram, is there any other way to contact him?
  18. Does anyone know if there is anywhere still selling RHD carbon fibre wingmirror covers for the ISF? I've searched online, but all that seems available are LHD sets. Thanks
  19. Thanks Rich - it sounds like a moving feast of additional items to consider, so not a project to be taken lightly from a budget perspective. I may also call a garage that has been listed on here as having done this job before to see what they have to say. Tempting though...
  20. Hi Guys What is the experience here from people who have fitted the RHD RR Racing PPE headers without the cats: is it compliant for UK air emissions? is it okay to get these fitted without buying the rest of the RR Racing tuning package? Also, what else do you need from them; engine mounts, new gaskets etc? Thanks all
  21. I hope you enjoy it, I drove one on track and was quite underwhelmed, I think if they did a manual option it would be better, and it lacks the charisma and charm of a V8, but if it floats your boat, enjoy, it is certainly a handsome looking thing...
  22. Looks great 🙂 Out of interest what are the price differences here over a UK car, is it about the same or more expensive to do this?
  23. Thanks Rich - is your car regularly kept outside in the sun? That seems to be the rub, cars kept in a garage tend not to have sun fade, it's just in the UK whether this is an issue or not in everyday use with our glorious sunny weather LOL!
  24. Hi Guys Just interested if any ISF owners here have fitted carbon fibre bonnets to their cars (with the carbon weave showing, not painted over) and if they had seen any issues with sun fade over time? I know in some hotter US states this UV damage to the lacquer over the carbon weave can be an issue, but wanted to see how people in the less sunny UK had faired with this issue? Thx
