  1. Hi. I have to say that finding a Android unit with CarPlay is a nightmare, and through no cause of any of the manufacturer's suppliers. Impressed with my IS220d I upgraded 2013 to a IS200d with every option fitted. I am happy with the car except for 1 new injector at 65,000 miles and 4 new injectors at 80,000 miles. To Android and Teyes. Teyes certainly have the best head unit. I feel sorry for them though. Lexusahave used so many different combinations of head unit, ensuring the correct unit is supplied is ........ So. Depending on whether you have the factory fitted sat/nav or not, the sat/nav with fibre optic reversing camera. Then there's the version with fibre optic air/con. And even then there are additional permutations where you have a Mark Levenson audio unit. It is a friggin nightmare. Most suppliers ask you to look at the air/con screen and send them a photos so they can determine the correct model. Your model choice can also depend on the age of your Lexus. Earlier versions with sat/nav are different to later versions. Look for the raised buttons either side of your display screen. That's the older version. Later have flat smooth buttons. And then there's a whole raft of alternative going on behind the scenes. Teyes asked the same. Show us your air.con display. They told me Version A was the correct choice. WRONG! My best advice is carefully remove you existing unit, and take photographs of the complete rear showing ALL the connection ports. I have even included the factory labels. Go check out the photo's the manufacturers show on the websites. The number of permutations! This is why best to send YOUR photo's first. Good luck. Really p'eed off right now as unit arrived, can't install because wiring wrong and Teyes currently trying to figure out my wiring harness. Look at my photo's and then check out the different websites to give you an idea of how many versions there are that Lexus has fitted.
  2. PLEASE READ all previous comments before telling me to do what someone else has and I have already tried. Hello All. To date. New Car battery Replaced battery in Key Fob Replaced Start button Replaced Ignition relay Replaced Drivers Door Courtesy Switch Replaced Power Source Control ECU Currently I have goner from NO lights nothing no green LED to Everything seems to be working except, Audio and and even with Green LED in Start Button, still no Starting or release of Steering Lock. All suggestions gratefully received. PLEASE READ all previous comments before telling me to do what someone else has and I have already tried.
  3. Hello so I got the power source control box and replaced the one on the car with the new one and it’s still the same and I also tried the sequence again with the new box in place to no avail
  4. Hello. Dyslexix means all of the above are pretty confusing I am sorry to say and especially after all your efforts. I am having some help and so am currently looking to see if I can obtain a Power Source Control ECU. I hope eBay knows what I'm asking for. Do you know if any of these will cause my key fob to stop being recognised by the car? Right now it seems to work. I wouldn't want to spend money on something that then means I have yet another problem to solve.
  5. Hi Error. Tried the immobiliser sequence and still no good.
  6. -Error-. That's a new one . Will give this a try and let everyone know. Thanks.
  7. Hi Lagepddnin. Sad to say done all of this and more and still no response. Interesting that we are moving forward though. We now get the green light LED but No audio when pressing for the ignition and Orange LED.
  8. Hi Shahpor. I think i may have misled you by mistake. The ‘fuse’ being referred to is the long metal looking thing that’s in the box just in front of the battery. Looking at the lid and the ‘map’ of fuses, point to this ‘fuse’ being a multi-fuse that handles a lot of the main engine components. Glow plugs, audio, heating items. Martin
  9. Okay. Disconnected the new battery for 30 minutes and no change. I think it important to say that even though I now have the green LED, the steering lock does not disengage. I have an acquaintance that is telling me to look at the BIG fuse. Does anyone know if this is likely to be the cause? And I ask especially as all other facilities, with the exception of the windows now appears to function.
  10. Hi. have now checked just about every connection possible in this car with a multi-meter. Clutch switched checked and confirmed okay amongst other things as well. I have now changed. Ignition Button, Ignition relay and drivers door courtesy switch. After a lot of talking I have installed a replacement brand new battery: AND WE HAVE A GREEN LIGHT IGNITION LED. But! Still the car refuses to kick in and turnover let alone start. As yet to try OBD or whatever it's called with a tester. Any further suggestions are welcome.
  11. Hi. Have already removed Clutch switch and tested with a volt meter. Switch works fine. Normally, without pressing clutch, just press the button, the ignition will come on to allow for radio etcetera. Pressing clutch pedal 'livens' the ignition for starting the car. Press the start button and dead. See las post from me about door switch please.
  12. Hi All again. I have replaced the Start button. No change. I have replaced red the Blue Ignition relay. No change. I have noticed that when the drivers door is open, the dash light does not indicate an open door. I open any other door and the dash red door light open indicator illuminates. Does the drivers door courtesy light switch do more than just put on the interior lights?
  13. Hi. Not aware of a sensor controlling the clutch switch. Is this different to the switch itself?
  14. Don't know as there's much else to try. According to the fact it's Easter and Covid and, and, and. It's going to be at least 12 days to get the part and then try it. I will report back. If anyone else has any other I dead I can try in the interim period I would still be grateful.
  15. Hi. I own a multi-meter for continuity testing and a bit of voltage. Don't understand ohms resistance and all that sorry to say. Already printed off this document from a previous posting.
  16. From another forum see that Shapor has posted previously about this topic. I have ordered a replacement Start Button from eBay and going to give it a whirl. But any other comments to look at are most welcome.
  17. Absolutely dead. Nothing. Nada. Key fob flashes red led when near switch. Interior lights come on. Side lights, hazard lights, all work. Press the unlock button on the fob and the windows bleep: though now don't lower. Central locking all works. Bizarre.
  18. Battery is less than 6 months old and only read what it did because it was very low trickle charge of about 6 hours in total. No amber light. No lights at all. Common sense says a fuse but all fuses test good. Wonder whether a ignition relay but don't know where to start with that.
  19. Hi All. 2006 IS220d SE. Standard mileage for age. Completely out of the blue, the most reliable car I have ever owned, fails. No green ignition LED when putting my foot on the clutch pedal. Due to Covid the car had sat for a while and of course the battery had almost drained because of the security system. The battery hadn't drained completely, the key fob still unlocked the doors and talked to the windows. I trickle charged the battery over night and ensured with a volt meter that it was sat with around 13v. Just to be on the safe side I changed both key fob batteries. I have spoken with my Lexus dealer who ran me through a number of checks. Battery Voltage. Fuses (2 lots under the bonnet) & (2 lots in the foot wells). All fuses check out correctly with the volt meter. And still nothing. Has anyone else experienced this? Heard of another Lexus owner who may not even be on the forum with the same problem? Getting pretty desperate here.
  20. After a lot of elfin about........ Remember this all started after having 2 new rear ABS sensors and both rear hub bearings replaced, Lexus Toulouse decided to change one of the new hubs for another new hub and replace one of the new ABS sensor with another new sensor. Problem did not go away! They then wanted to do the same the other side and i refused. So they then came up with a scheme to take the magnetic part of the hub from the one they swapped and fit another new sensor. €1463 later I set off home and half way home the VSC light kit up again and so has the ABS. At least the speedo, the cruise control and odometer works as is the fuel gauge that is now stable. As for the OBD reader I purchased... WASTE OF MONEY!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE OBD READER TALKED OF ABOVE. Thankfully having spent €1463 I have somewhere to go back to. But keep in mind that this is a 10 year old car with 190,000 miles on the clock. Right now other than this problem the car runs absolutely fine and still looks good for its age. I cannot afford to change the car so I am having to bite the bullet and keep on paying. But!!! If the dealer had their way, they would rebuild the mechanics out of new spare parts till it was like new. Comments like, "it feels sloppy and loose, not like a new one" sits in the memory. i do wonder what these people expect?
  21. Off to the local Lexus dealer Monday. See what they make of it. Everyone else seems baffled.
  22. Car reports. ABS fault. P/S Power steering, Brake Warning, VSC with red warning triangle and the OBD Reader reports: 'There is no codes in the vehicle'.
  23. Hi everyone. I bought the the exact same OBD scanner as recommended above. Connected to car, turned on the ignition, exactly as there manual states: and the readers states NO CODES found. Anyone with any ideas?
  24. Well. Out of the blue the window has started to work. Don't know how or why but thanks for responding.
