Hi have you had a look on Auto Trader ? - there a some nice examples on there Facelift and Pre Facelift - and sales are sluggish at the moment

With the dirty throttle body it only happens when slowing down from speed e.g leaving the motorway and slowing down - engine turns off !! so you could be doing 50/60 mph with no power steering😨

Hi The Mark 3 LS400 suffers from a very similar fault which is down to dirty throttle body - could the same issue apply here - or is engine not running at that point?

Hi Jon In there a way to test? - My telescopic function does not work - I have tried push and pulling the steering whilst pressing the adjustment button but no luck - I know they have been replaced once in the lifetime of the car before.

On my LS430 I replaced the outer rubber seals all around - I bought these from a Lexus dealer for abour £30 each - might be worth ringing the dealer as its a vehicle specific part.

I had a similar experice on my previous LS430 - vibratio through the gearbox when in drive - this was due to a warn gearbox mount

So the trans fluid setup is exactly the same as the LS430 - but the LS400 never suffered from the problem the LS430 does.

I have a Mark 4 in 2012 - but never knew this feature

Show us this immacuate GS450H then - and what was you reasons for changing?

The LS430 has a seperate amplifier located on the right hand side of the boot (need to removing lining to access it) If the amplifier develops a fault you will have no sound. One way to check the amplifier is powering up is observe to amp to see if the cooling fans are spinning Mine developed a fault where the power supply packed up - I got mine repaired You can also follow ths video to do a diganostic which tells you if amp is connected or not: This video shows how to access the amplifier:

Hi Have you checked the the fuses in the drivers footwell? Do you know if the amp powers up? i.e have you checked to see if fans are spinning when powered on?

Maybe meet up with a member and compare??

Hi I would start with ejecting the map CD and re-inserting Failing that reset the navigation unit but disconnecting hope this helps

This is a very simple and cost effective solution and they do work very well - I do use one, but not on my car.

There are small signs of rust showing on one of the arches Also I seems to be sitting very high at the rear - as if it has had new springs??

Clearly something is out of sync - I remember last time someone had a problem like this here after replacing the rear height sensors - the car would not raise - and they had no choice but to take it into Lexus. I can't help with your problem other than suggesting having a look on the US forums - they have more of these cars over there and do mod alot hence more info on that site. You could call a dealer and ask if they could provide guidance since you are pretty clued up. As a last resort it may have to go to the dealer.

I think this sort of question has been asked before and different connectors have been the answer. I think the simple answer is it is not possible. I have yet to come across someone who successfully done this.

Hi Could it be that at some point the flap was pushed beyond its travel point causing the misalignment? I would get the dealer to take a look

Us LS guys are in the same boat ! Its very difficult to pull yourself away from that smooth serene luxurious drive of the LS. But I'm pretty sure my next car is going to be GS Premier!
