  4. Hi Every one, Thought I share my experience with you guys in regards to service advisor at lexus edgware, I was advised not to visit lexus edgware but since i had to renew my warranty i was in 2 minds, i took my friends advise and decided to get the car serviced by VAT registered independent garage since lexus will validate the warranty, so i bought major service parts from Lexus Edgware, spoke to lexus warranty deparment and they advised me not to go that route since it will take alot longer to get autherisation on warranty since they need to confirm etc etc, they offered me discounted labour which was £300.00 and they will use the parts that i had bought from parts dept, on arrival i was greeted the usuall lexus way which was second to none, handed over the service parts and emphasise on having the fuel filter changed, service advisor acknowledged and signed the relevent docs and handed the key over, next day i get a call from lexus saying they cant change the fuel filter since all there parts are on back order at that point i told the service adviser that fuel filter is with rest of the parts i had left with them he then checked and confirmed that the filter was there and it will be changed, few hours later i get a call saying every thing has been done and car's ready for collection, i arrived at the dealership as advised, first question i asked was if the fuel filter had been changed "YES SIR" its all been done, i paid the balance and left the dealership, once i got back home i was sorting out my paper work in the car and realize that the fuel filter's been left in my car opened the pack and there it was, called the dealership straight away, at this point im expecting some kind of apology but instead the service adviser said he will let me know when he can rebook my car in to have that filter replaced and promised to call me back first thing since it was coming upto 6pm, I waited all day for his call and got fed up at the end and called the dealership 0n 8th feb 2012 around 530pm, got through to him and he said that his manager has been busy and he will call me back soon as he had confirmed it with his manager call lasted less than 30 seconds, (once again no apology for not keeping me informed). On the day of collection when i asked him about the service plan he said it would work out more expensive so no point having a qoute done. Is my 3 year old lexus too old for there dealership? if it is then they should let me know and i wont bother and i will make others aware and save everyone disambiguation. Im just wondering if they have changed any parts at all? or have they put back them parts on there shelf to MUG another customer. will keep you posted on the great experience im going to face again in few days time, since i have to get the filter replaced.
