hi guys, any chance of getting just the seal from somewhere, instead of buying the whole thing, ie coil pack? dealer told me they dont just do the seal; have to buy the whole coil pack which cost a bomb. :duh: on the other hand, i've found in US ebay, a coil pack for RX300 RX330 ES300 ES330 which look very much similar to IS200 .... anyone, pls? thanks.

This is very strange. It happened a couple of days ago. Whilst on a traffic q... i've noticed my rear screen was a bit dusty. So, I turned the washer.... and the rear wiper. Then... on its first wipe...something very strange happened. It broke! Yes, just like that... about half an inch from the pivot section. Very strange... (this RX is only 11 month old). Today, my wife went to Lexus (Reading)... and no question asked; they simply replaced it FOC. Though the service manager did say that it was the first. Anyone had this before?

Reading quoted for replacement of the whole unit. £500 Bracknell quoted just for mirror replacement. £150

i've looked more into it. took the mirror out. seems to me, only the mirror (and its backing, whatever u call it) needs replacing, not the whole thing. bracknell quoted £150. is this okay?

wife bashed the left side mirror onto something > broken, light green liquid splash on the left door, stained it. went to our dealer (Reading): they quoted £500 for replacement and asked to go to body shop in Bracknell to sort the stains (they tried but failed). stained is covered under warranty but Bracknell thinks £500 is too dear, they'll find out. anyone experienced similar misfortune?

sent to dealer. throttle box need to be replaced they said. they spoke to my wife though, would cost around £750 just for part....arghhhhhhhhh.

Over the past 2 or 3 weeks, 3 times my IS200SE's engine suddenly cut-off when slowed down at trafficlights and roundabout, scarry. Any thoughts?

Anyone knows the best place to get replacement for the main transponder keys, apart from Lexus dealers (would cost £1000+ at local dealer)? It's for IS200SE. (Note: only the service key survived. hence, system needs to be reprogrammed). Thanks.

I've driven both, but not for 24 hrs; may be for just 30mins. And indeed RX feels better and smoother. Though the review was on the older model of RX, can you please glance thru and see which one is still valid to the newer RX, please(www.curtrich.com/november1999.html). Thanks

We've an IS200SE for the past 3+ years, and want to px our 2nd car (not Lexus) with a 4x4. We're down to RX300SE-L and ML270CDi at photo finish and it's really a hard decision. ML, for the reason that a new model is coming out soon, is giving a 10% discount. In addition, it can fits an extra of 2 seats at the boot space making it a 7 seater. However, RX looks sleeker and obviously, as a newer version, it has more features... and probably drives better. I've been reading reviews from www.curtrich.com (american site) which highlighted some neg info not mentioned by Lexus dealer, but it was more on the older RX and putting more confusion into this matter. Please help us on this one as we're looking to decide by next week. :D Cheers!
