  1. Hi folks, Yes, it's on Gumtree but there is no option when placing the ad for 'offers'. Just had to pluck an amount out of the hat and it's always better to start high!
  2. Thanks to you all for the positive comments. However, in my current position, I have made the decision to sell it on as it is and it is now on Gumtree. Really appreciate the help guys! x
  3. Yes, sound thinking Malc but I think I know they're right from the 'noises off' I have been getting! Anyway, I have been sensible and decided it's got to go. What I really wanted was advise on where to sell it. I apologise if any Gold members thought I was using the Forum as a place to sell, that wasn't my intention. I am a widow and I was just asking for advise really.
  4. Hi thanks for the understanding ;-( The car is 'K' reg and has done 133,000 ish (barely run in! ) I have been quoted between £850 and £1200 by the independent garage that did the MOT.
  5. Hi all, My precious LS400 (1992 Reg) has come to the end of its life with me. Engine, gearbox etc all in perfect running order but the running gear (track rod end, front suspension arm bushes etc. ) failed it on the MOT and the cost of repair is such that, reluctantly, have to sell it on. I would hate to see this magnificent vehicle go to a scrap yard, particularly since I have just had new discs/pads on the back and it goes like muck off the proverbial shovel! Can anyone give me advice as to the best place (and price?) in which to sell this. This was originally my late husband's car and I am (sadly) emotionally attached to it! Thanks for any advice
  6. Thank you to everyone for replying with suggestions, I now have a replacement PAS pump on order and my tame mechanic will be fitting it on Tuesday. Funnily enough, since the pump finally failed, the dreadful screeching noise has gone! Just a tad difficult manoeuvring in small spaces!! Thank again to the Lexus Owners Club members - I will be back!
  7. Thank you, I have done that now but he cannot help at the moment. We have previously bought replacement Lexus parts from a Japanese importer but I don't have the email address / web link anymore. Can anybody else suggest somewhere PLEASE!
  8. Thanks, I have done that but he hasn't been able to help. We have previously bought good replacement parts from a Japanese parts importer but I no longer have the email address. Can anybody else recommend somewhere PLEASE?
  9. Hi, I am a 'new member' but my late partner was a member from the time he bought this beauty. I have a LS400 (1993) and I am looking for a replacement Power Steering Pump. I cannot really afford Dealer prices and am not experienced enough to trawl through breakers etc. (Plus, as we all know, women are not really welcomed!!!) Can anyone recommend a trustworthy and reliable source for this part that I can order on-line. Thanks
  10. Welcome to the Lexus forums Gardenesse :)
