  1. The green marks the position of the transponder if you just put the inside box (with the chip) into the new case:
  2. Hi, When you open the key - you'll find the remote with the transponder chip inside: Unfortunately it's not screwed, but glued, so be very careful with the sharp knife... Then you have to put the transponder in the new key (there is designated place - marked in red - close to the base of the blade) - otherwise it's too far away from the sensor and will not start.
  3. I don't know if there are screens (mine is MkII), but this one: should help - it's plug (lighter socket) and play and costs nothing
  4. Lexus dealers couldn't do anything to help - there is no software solution - you have to replace the ECU fitted to the European models with the one they put in US ones. US cars have DRL function and it is high beams at 20%. And both solutions I tried are 100% legal.
  5. His ride is 2008 RX350 (MK2) and it has just one sensor for both, not two separate.
  6. Here are my two cents - local law is the same - lights on all the time. Covering the sensor is rather bad solution - although it works fine with the lights (when set on auto) it also gives incorrect information to the A/C and the navigation screen/dashboard illumination. I've tried every solution possible - so the module fits my needs the best - I'm still enjoying the automatic lights (no matter entering a tunnel or dusk) and the automatic change of illumination on the dash. I can still use both Low & high beams as needed, the only downside is that the reduced voltage of the halogen bulbs makes them yellowish (even if replaced by coolblue/HID look ones).
  7. Does the system recognize the position of the steering wheel - max left or right?
  8. If you mean phone, audio, etc. browsing while driving - nope! To be able to do this there are certain devices you can buy or a hardware hack (involving disconnecting few wires).
  9. Sorry - have to correct myself - the possibility of destination input while driving is available since version E12 (2009/2010)
  10. It's working perfect! It doesn't matter the production year as far as the navigation system is Gen 3, Gen 5, TNS 600/700. The release date of E18 is October 2013.
  11. I don't mind the price - considering it is the full 4 discs set - i guess the price is OK. I object misleading information - it is far from being the latest, yet it is indeed the first version that allows setting destination on the go!
  12. Latest? E15? Sorry, but you must be kidding! The latest is E18!
  13. You should enter the hidden menu (info button +3 times lights switch simultaneously) and there you can calibrate the system (Incl. far left and right rotation of the steering wheel). Press MENU in the upper right corner and you'll see this: Press "Camera check" and you'll enter this: Then you just follow the onscreen instructions, but on your own risk - you can do some damage... DO NOT PRESS AND CHANGE THE SETTINGS IN THE OTHER MENUS!
  14. I'm using a module (you can see it on pic#2) that fits in the fuse box (pic#1) - it gets signals from high beam fuse, "+" that is on after ignition, permanent "+" and ground from the chassis. The additional lines from the fuses (also protected with fuses of their own) are connected using those:
  15. The reduced light output of the highbeams is actually the factory fitted version of the DRL for the States (where DRL driving is obligatory). I'm not offended in any way, i'm hesitating so looking for feedback. However I would not put a reminder, I would rather make the lowbeams start automatically.
