  1. Hey Auzzam, Just wanted to say that I'm really sorry to hear about the recent issues you've had to deal with. I had some :tsktsk: jump all over my IS200 earlier this month - they even nicked off with one of the roof strips. It stuns me how another human being can do something so foul over something so frivolous & still be able to look at themselves in the mirror every morning. As for the Sky van I'd definitely nip down the local bobby with the tape & get yourself a crime reference number, they should also be able to advice on how to pursue the matter with Sky. I'd be interested to know what Sky's take on the incident would be. Best of luck locating to the driver & the scrotes who nabbed your spoiler.
  2. Bringing this thread back on topic. Engine oil crops up a lot on car forums and you will always find that one person will prefer one make over another. Now I've never used Motul oils in my Lexus, I use Fuchs Titan Race Pro S (formerly known as Silkolene Pro S) & I'm happy to say I've never had any issues with it. Now it sounds like you've done your homework & so far it appears no one else has tried it. Therefore when you come to change your oil swap it for the Motul Eco-nergy 5W-30, but come back onto the forums, let us know how you got on & if you noticed any improvement on performance.
  3. You know what I never thought of it like that...Cheers wicked677 :).
  4. My heart sunk when I saw it, I've only owned the IS200 since February so the car is all still relatively new to me. Supposedly Royal Leamington Spa has rather a large student population due to Warwick University being nearby, but obviously it's not fair to tarnish a whole group of society with the same brush as it could have been anyone who could have done this. As for the parking, I had the same intentions as you. I thought parking it in a council car park where there was CCTV would have been enough of a deterrent - I was obviously wrong :(.
  5. It makes sense on the re-usability factor alone seeing Lexus charge around £24 for an OEM one will get chucked on your next service. If it helps, I got my K&N air filter from fasterfilters.co.uk, at the time it was cheaper than any of the ones going on flea-bay.
  6. Well I wanted the tax disc from Lexus.co.uk - In Car, but when I tried to order it from dealership they said they had to order them in especially & that they'd contact me as soon as they had some in - never heard from them again, so I thought cut out the middle man & just make my own one up & have it the way I want it.
  7. I also bought a set of Prestige mats from MrCarMats.co.uk as my car had no mats in it when I bought it & Lexus don’t supply them anymore. I got mine in 'jet' because the pile has a little charcoal fleck in it which compliments the interior of the car. The sales rep informed me that the jet is same material that’s used for mats in the Land Rover Vogue and the pile is actually thicker than the Prestige range – he referred to it as Prestige+ (but I’ve not been able to validate this claim). What I can confirm is that the mats are of very good quality, the pile is deep & very luxurious. I also had a heel pad fitted at no extra charge.
  8. I wanted to purchase a new tax disc holder as the own that the dealership provided me with when I bought the car was naff. Eventually decided on buying a Richbrook one, however I wanted it customised to include the car’s make and model. I had a quick look online and came across a site that already engraves the Lexus logo on the back of them. I spoke to the sales rep about changing the engraving to incorporate the cars model name in too. The guy was extremely accommodating and after a few e-mails back & forth & a revision or two on the model name font style - I ordered it. £18.50 delivered!! Really, really happy with it & the silver looks great with the door controls fascia & the metal gear knob ^_^.
  9. Last weekend I went to visit a friend in Royal Leamington Spa. Parked my IS200 in a council car park and came back to find out that some scrote/s decided to Starsky & Hutch it all over my car ! The roof is warped though I have managed to pull 3 of the major dents out myself, but I've got 6 very visible flaws in the roof now, they also rolled over the front of my car scratching the bonnet and nearside wing also denting the bonnet in two places in the process, one of them right on one of the folds too. To add insult to injury they even ripped off one of my roof strips - the :tsktsk:! The police are checking the CCTV in the car park but I’m not holding my breath for them to be able to actually ID the blighter/s. Took it to Lexus Stoke (my local dealership) but the price they were asking for was > £1000 and would mean an insurance jobby, which I’m really not keen on doing as I don’t have protected no claims. So I’m getting it done at an independent bodyshop in Fenton which was recommended to me by a couple of mates. I’ll post some after pictures when it’s been filled and re-sprayed. Really not a happy bunny right now though :megaangry:.
