  1. Happy Birthday Graham Gardner!

  2. That is an awesome price mate, a real bargain, if you get a couple of years of LS400 motoring it'll be a win win all the way
  3. Excellent buy mate, still loving mine after 3 months, best car I've ever had, love it
  4. I had cancer 3 years ago, I'm fine now. I bought a Toyota Hilux mk3 around the same time and spent many a happy hour tinkering, during my treatment and recovery. Best wishes mate
  5. Hi Yiannis welcome to the club
  6. I looked at the s320 at an alternative to the LS400, but after having 3 Mercs all of which rotted away, I could'nt really convince myself that they have improved enough. All the BMs I've ever had never showed a hint of rust.
  7. I've been reading about that but that's fine, I only do around 5k miles a year in the LS400, that'll be 4 years from now
  8. I fitted the Pagid discs, brake sensor and pads, the juddering has gone, phew! Strangely though, the offside disc had been fitted, WITHOUT the two retaining screw, they had been sheared off! The car has a full service history, I have have found a receipt for the disc and their fitting from two years ago by a motor engineer company in Glasgow, to be honest, I'm appalled that a reputable company should have done such a shoddy repair. I have drilled the studs out and recut the threads, it took me about half an hour, this is exactly why I now do all my own repairs and servicing (with help and guidance from my brother, a trained Jaguar engineer) you seemingly can't trust anyone?
  9. Having recently bought a 1997 mk4 myself, it seems that they all have the same little problems, all I've fixed, so far, are the bonnets struts, although there's a set of pads and discs waiting to be fixed laying in the garage. The air con needs re gassing and a couple of other silly things, other than that, they are great cars
