  1. I agree, although I think they look good with white.
  2. Looks like there are new colours too... Sunlight Green, Sonic Platinum, Sonic Grey (with black wheels for the F-Sport).
  3. What do you mean by the HUD speed reading accuracy is 100% to date?
  4. Yes, this is the previous model is the one I was thinking about: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?postcode=so533ny&make=Honda&model=Legend&include-delivery-option=on&advertising-location=at_cars&page=1 The one above was not sold in the UK. A SUV I did consider before getting my first Lexus was the Nissan Murano (pre 2008 facelift). https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?sort=relevance&postcode=so533ny&radius=1500&make=NISSAN&model=MURANO&include-delivery-option=on&year-to=2008 https://www.whatcar.com/nissan/murano/4x4/used-review/n521
  5. A bit late to the party, but have you considered a Honda Legend? -= You get a lot of car for your money and a V6 would be cheaper to run than a V8
  6. I used to have a 2009 RX450h. From memory, when you first start the car, it takes a few minutes before the heating kicks in. I believe this is to stop cold air from being blown into the cabin while the engine to comes up to running temperature. This is overriden if you select a high temperature. Given that the temperature can be independently adjusted for right and left, I would assume that there are two thermostats, one for each side, but I could be wrong. Not sure whether this is relevant to your question, but I seem to recall that the manual recommends that you should not select more than 3 degrees difference between the right and the left of the cabin. This aims to stop the two sides from 'competing' when one side tries to cool the car down, while the other tries to increase the temperature.
  7. I'm intrigued... I thought the BSM worked with the cameras located on the underside of the side view mirrors...
  8. Saw a green convertible LC with tan roof up, travelling towards Cheltenham on the A419 Saturday 18 September, late afternoon. Unfortunately I was traveling the other way so only caught a quick glimpse of it.
  9. HAve you tried a reboot of the system: long press of the on/off button.
  10. Is that the one that had 2 rear wipers?
  11. Interesting as I can report the same. Now on my 4th tank of E10, and managed 52.1 MPG (car computer) on my 12 mile trip to the office. Also showed 42MPG on a return trip from Winchester to Cheltenham, about 4-5 MPG better than on previous trips.
  12. Thank you. I was referring to side mirrors rather than the rear view mirror, apologies if my post was not clear. There are video reviews available on YouTube, but was looking for real-life experiences - Thanks @Rabbers
  13. Has any ES owner opted for this option? Any feedback you may be willing to share? It is not a cheap extra, but is it worth the money?
  14. No offence taken! I was more thinking about the installation (wiring) potentially interfering with some existing wiring, and resulting 'something' no longer working as it should. As you can see, I am not technically minded and rather risk averse where cars are concerned...
  15. The car is new and under warranty. I would go back to the/a dealer and get them to sort it out. Have you checked your tyre pressure? (although any discrepancy should have been picked up by the TPMS)
  16. As a matter of interest, if you get a third party to fit a dashcam onto a new car - as oppposed to Lexus - is it likely to affect the car warranty in the event that something goes wrong? - Are you likely to get into a battle with either Lexus, the third party or potentially both trying to get either party to own the problem (whatever it might be) and fix it? Just a thought.
  17. Yes it is, with some caveat. See the government guidelines on the link in my original post.
  18. As of September 28th, the GB country identifiers will no longer be legal when travelling on the continent and will have to be replaced with a UK equivalent. https://www.gov.uk/displaying-number-plates/flags-symbols-and-identifiers On or after 28 September 2021 You will need to display a UK sticker clearly on the rear of your vehicle if your number plate has any of the following: a GB identifier with the Union flag (also known as the Union Jack) a Euro symbol a national flag of England, Scotland or Wales numbers and letters only - no flag or identifier If your number plate includes the UK identifier with the Union flag (also known as the Union Jack), you do not need a UK sticker. If you’re in Spain, Cyprus or Malta, you must display a UK sticker no matter what is on your number plate. If you have a GB sticker, cover or remove it.
  19. Saw the Red Arrows land at Exeter airport while waiting for our flights to the Isles of Scilly on August 23rd. Always such an exciting sight.
  20. I have been filling with E10 for the past few weeks, and I can't say that I have noticed any difference either in consumption or in performance. Recently drove from Winchester to Exeter and back and averaged 41mpg, which I think it's pretty good. This is based on the onboard computer rather than on any scientific calculation. I don't think the latter is worth worrying about because it can be influenced by so many factors and I can't see that a difference of a few MPG either way is going to make a significant financial difference overall.

  22. I have been in the same position as the OP a couple of times, and informed the dealership out of courtesy, because I thought it might influence the car they were planning to give me, based the mileage already covered by the courtesy car. It's never been a problem. I guess that if you were not using that courtesy car, another customer most probably would. I have also at times requested a specific courtesy car: I requested an RX in place of an RX because I needed to carry 4 passengers over a weekend, and I requested an LC500 V8... simply because I wanted to try one. I found that, given enough notice, the dealership was always happy to oblige.
