  1. there's a set of DHP alloy wheel centre caps on Gumtree

  2. check the condition of your courtesay switches on your doors. If they are intermittantly going open circuit they will activate your alarm!
  3. Cheers Steve ACLex seems like a real stand up guy, Although the DHP wheel hubs are long obsolete he has asked for some pictures to try and find any near match. Here's hoping Bill.
  4. Mine was converted at 165000 by someone else. It's now done 186000 and runs like a charm. Measured economy (not indicated) is 19 combined 26 motorway.
  5. Yeah ASDA Linwood Scotland has been 65.7 for a week now. Every mile makes me happier. I've only had my LS about a month and still can't believe how cheap it is to run on gas. Feels like a time machine when I pay up.
  6. Steve, excuse my hopeless ignorance, ACLex, is that a member here or a dealer or what, thanks again Bill. edit: did some searching the forum and discovered what the deal is, sent a pm. I'll let you know how it goes. Many thanks.
  7. I had my DHP alloys powder coated today. I'll post some pictures in a couple of days if anyones interested. Looks like a good job but I'll see how they look after a winter! Anyway I only had three centre caps before and now I dont think they can be brought up to a point where they match the wheels and I'd still be one short. I've been looking for a set for a while, I haven't tried any Dealers as I've read I'm sure that they're discontinued. As I believe these wheels were only available in the uk I can't see anything on US sites. Does anyone have a spare set or know where a spare set could be had, or failing that has anyone had anything made that didn't look to bad? I think I'd rather run about with none at the minute rather than three filthy old ones as it looks more even to my ocd! Is there any chance that dirt is going to collect in there and grind away at my wheel bearings or corrode my wheels or anything else horrific I can't think of?
  8. Summers been and gone Ruud, down this neck of the woods anyway!
  9. Malc, I've not long bought a mk4, couldn't help but notice you've left that one out, any reason I should know of as I've a bit of a high speed shake I'm just starting to chase down now. Bill.
  10. I'd like to say hello firstly. This seems like a very civilized forum here. I've been lurking for a few weeks now.I Bought a LS400 about a month ago. DHP with brc multi point LPG kit. Leaky boot, seems quite common I see.. Kudos to the man who picked the seal above. Quality and fit are great. I'll post back after we've had some rain. That won't be long as it rains nearly constantly here. Oh and 5 metres did the job for me. Bill. So we have had some truly biblical rain recently and I thought I'd update. There is still a very small amount coming in from somewhere and lying in the front right of the boot next to the rubber drain hole. It's way less than before and it wasn't a torrent then. Still I'm a bit anal really so I'll keep trying. Next nice day I'm attacking the sunroof drains at the rear with some strimmer line. I'll Post how I get on.
  11. Welcome to the Lexus forums wollo :)
