  1. Well I have had a 200F Sport on a 24 hour test drive and whilst it is a nice car, I am afraid that I will not be taking one as my next company car. The build quality and the materials used are excellent. I found the driving position comfortable and the CVT gearbox was not as bad as the reports I have read. However, the size of the car is to little for my needs and the car lacks the power I need for overtaking when I am on a motorway. The positives however, are that I am more than impressed by the brand. The service and treatment I received from Lexus Birmingham was excellent and when I come around to replacing the car I will have later this year, I will most definitely be looking at the replacement to the IS due out next year.
  2. Apologies for taking the post slightly off topic, but can anyone tell me if the Blackberry Bold (9780 to be exact) is a compatible smartphone to use with a CT200?
  3. Steve and Geof, thanks very much for your replies and your thoughts on your cars. I do spend a lot of time on motorways and during my 48 hour test drive I will certainly be trying out the performance of the car on a motorway. Rear seat passengers will benefit by the fact that I am only 5'8" and my wife 5'2". I realise that coming on to a CT200 forum that it would be very rare to find a bad word about the car. However, the main positive feeling I am getting from everyone, is that the car feels a quality piece of engineering and that it will surprise many people by how good it is if they were to drive one.
  4. Grant, Thanks very much for the feedback. There is no doubting that the reduction in taxation is a big pull towards this car. Like you one of key musts for my next car is an automatic gearbox, so I will be interesting to see what it is like when I have a test drive the week after next. If you have come down from a 170 bhp engine and have not noticed any lack of power then that is music to my ears as is the space in the back for rear seat passengers. Once again, many thanks for the feedback Stephen
  5. I am currently looking at my options when I change my company car in September and have organised a 48 hour test drive the week after next. Currently I drive an Audi A4, 2.0 litre diesel engine and I am considering changing it for a CT200f Sport or a 200h SE-L Premier however, whilst concerns is a bit strong, I certainly do have questions that I am hoping can be answered by members of this forum. What is it like to drive a car with a CVT gearbox, up to now I have always driven a manual gearbox car Will I be able to live with a reduced amount a power. My A4 is only a 140 bhp engine but even so it is still more powerful that a CT and as I drive somewhere between 25 - 30,000 miles a year, which includes a lot of motorway driving I am not sure what it will be like to live with a lower power engine The size of the car and specifically the amount of space in the back for rear seat passengers I will be very grateful for any feedback on the above questions and to the thoughts of anyone who has a CT as a company car.
