  1. fuses and relays meant to be the first thing you check, didn't think it could be something as simple as that but i'll double check would save alot of hassel, but whens life ever as easy as that lol. wheel sensors were apperantly all giving out the same readings so i put them out of the equation cheers for the help and would just like to get across my veiws on all this new electronics in vehicles, do car manufactures not think people know how to drive nowadays vcs, esp,tc and all the other stuff they're filling cars full of now, bring bk the days when it was the driver who decided how fast a car could go round a corner and how quick it could stop not the car stiffing up the suspension by eletric as it goes round one from the next and so on i think it's taking the fun out of the driving experience, i know its all good when it's working but they just can't seem to make it so that it'll stay working right but suppose thats how they make their money and as for fixing vehicles nowadays i've always managed to do my own repairs if u didn't know what you were doing you got a manual and got on with the job with a toolbox consisting of baisically spanners sockets and screwdrivers now the first thing you do is plug your car into a computer with hundreds or thousands pounds worth of software on it i just think it's all getting a bit out of hand and that cars are turning more and more like a computer rather than a car but rant over just wondered if anyone else felt the same way lol
  2. hi everyone i've been having problems with my 2007 lexus is 220d the abs vcs and afew other lights all decided to come on i got it plugged in and have came to the conclusion that it's the abs pump that's went wrong i've been pricing up second hand ones but am not right sure if all the part numbers on the pump have to match up or just some of them the numbers on mine read toyota 44540-53240 89541-53110 advics 133800- 8650 then on the aluminum block where the brake pipes go in it reads 11h556761 surely not all these numbers need to be the same well atleast i hope and was also wondering if it's just a case of getting a abs pump and putting it on or would i need to take her to a main dealer to get re-coded and end up having no beer tokens for the weekend lol any help much appreciated
