Hi guys first post on here I wish to upgrade from standard 16 inch alloys on my 56 plate 220d I have seen plenty of posts saying how great 18 inch wheels look but I am concerned about the ride handling and fuel consumption and I can not find any posts detailing the effects the larger rims would have. Loads of you out there must have upgraded can you tell what effect it has had on the car. I also do not want to lower the car those days are well behind me would I be better just going for a set if 17 inch wheels.

I am considering fitting 18"" alloys on my Lexus IS220 I have fitted larger wheels and low profile tyres on previous cars and it has runined the ride. I am sure loads of you have fitted wheels larger than the standard 16" fitted I just wondered what the results have been.
