I have owned the car for 2 years. I am not sure if they took pictures; they certainly did not supply them to me but they tell me they have reported it to Lexus.

Thank you Steve The fault came on independently of any other work. In fact the car has needed nothing than regular servicing and tyres! I have asked the dealer to contact Lexus and ask for a goodwill gesture as I suspect it may be an issue Lexus needs to examine more closely. If any more of this model turns up with the same issue, it could be a design flaw and with the implication of air bags not deploying in an accident, might require a recall.

Hi I have a 2005 RX400h. Recently the airbag warning light came on. Investigation by my local Lexus Centre found that the movement of the steering column in and out had rubbed a hole in the airbag control cable. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
