So I traded my ISF this time last year with a dealer in Dublin Ireland, and havnt seen it since. The dealer says it was nearer February before it shifted and he sold it to a UK resident. The chances of me seeing it again are slim so I'm wondering if anyone here has it. Its silver in colour and had 52k on it last year, if you have you've a good one, it was totally reliable and never had one single problem, despite occasionally being pushed hard...

I wouldn't be put off by low miles for the age of the car either, mine had 16k on it when I bought it and it was 4 years old. Turns out it was bought new by a euromillions winner, it was the first car he bought when the cheque cleared! For the last year I had mine it only covered 7k, I was using a jeep for work and the F just wasn't used. High or low miles, you'll never tire of that V8 sound...

Ive had mine 4 years and covered 40k in it. here is the list of parts ive replaced, apart from front discs and pads; 1) eh,hold on, mmmm, no, cant think of anything.....eh...

Hay James, I got Pagid pads for the F in April and they are very good. They were a steal at £36! As far as I remember there was a sale on at the time so I bought 2sets of fronts and a set of front discs for €205 (euros) all in, delivered to Ireland. I didn't get rear pads as I previously had yellow stuff on all corners and the rear were fine when the front were shot. The Pagid have been on two trip to the ring and always had plenty of feel even after 3straight laps, around 80k of extreme hard braking, if you search through the forum for other brake topics I'm sure the link is there as lots of guys here bought them because the prices were very very good. I'd like one touch indicators, one touch and it flashes 3 times. The misses Galaxy, my cooper S and even my Caddy van have it, not much to ask for but very handy!

Yep that's me alright Gavan, haven't seen another F at a cars and coffee so it'd be nice to spot one! Stick some pics up here and backroads when you get a chance. There was a white F for sale for a long time in Ireland, on at 30k, but I heard it had heavy frontal damage and was poorly repaired. Yours now brings the total number of ISFs in Ireland to 7. So still rare in my book. What mileage is on yours??

In Kildare, about 45mins from Dublin docks, around the same from Dun laoghaire which is another port the ferries from Holyhead use. Sure let me know when your trip is, if I'm free we could have a show and tell! I'm sure some of me petrol head mates would come along to see another F!

Congrats on the car, you won't be disappointed! One thing to check is the wheels. Each one is specific to each corner, the spokes are designed to suck air into the wheel to cool the discs as they spin, so the fat side of the blade should be on the left side, when the blade is at the top of the wheel. Also ask if the nav disc has been updated. Other than that, enjoy!! Oh, on your drive home put it in sport mode with the box in manual, and nail it. Change up at 6000 rpm and down at 5000rpm. You'll hear it blip the throttle for you and nearly pass out with excitement!

Ehhhhh, don't mean to upset you any more, but was the car parked on that yellow line when the tip happened, insurance companies love to get out of paying however they can! Might be a good idea not to use that photo if your asked to send in a few.

Normal road rules apply, so licence/ insurance a must although you arnt asked for it unless you have an off! I flew over last year with a mate and we took our 8 year old daughters, they'd a great few days. We hired race Suzuki swifts and used helmets and harnesses which made a day of it. All the rules can be found on Nurburgring.de. How about a few ISFs from the uk meeting us there in September?

Just noticed those dimples arnt on this wheel, it's smooth leather on the top! Was it easy to source? I'm off to Florida in late may and wouldn't mind picking one up while I'm there.

Not really no. I'm always told by my Tyre guy I'm very easy on tyres! I've the F 2 and a half Years now and I've changed the tyres once. I've put 20k on them and they've way over half thread left. The ring isn't as hard on tyres as you might think, it has loads of fast flowing turns, which can be taken at high speed and tyre squeal is quite rare for me.

Looks really well, I presume all the buttons are original, i.e didn't come with the wheel? I find the original wheel a little rough on the top and avoid holding there if possible.

It's great to get back Mr.W. plans are already underway for a September return! We always go when the VLN is on in March/April as that's a great way to spend a day in the pits and then do a few laps that evening.

I've seen 175mph on mine before having to brake, still pulling strong at this speed so I'm sure another 10-15mph is in there somewhere! As for the Ferrari thing, I've beaten a mates 360 on the same stretch of road last time I was there even though I had 3 people and a boot full of wine. I'm sure I could keep with a 430, another mate has a 575 and the difference is small upto around 145mph, he begins to creep away then and stays ahead from there, its the gear box and sport mode together that make the difference in my humble opinion, although a 5 litre engine is a bonus too! Should have the video tomorrow!

So there I am minding my own business filling up the ISF at the garage at the 'ring, when in roars a458. Beautiful thing and owned by a true petrol head, "you goin to Calais", he says, "yep" says I, ill follow you so, he says. And off we go on a 350 mile blast! Only minutes from the garage and I'm nudging 165mph, he blasts past and later tells me he was at 195mph at that point. Now I'm not gonna say the F is as fast as a 458, but he didn't murder me as much as I thought he would. He couldn't believe the speed from the F either, "fu** me that Lexus can shift", was his reaction and as he also owns an F40, and has had 15 Ferraris, he knows fast cars when he sees them. A terrible nice guy, lovely missus and what a car! My 3rd tilme at the ring in the F and still amazes me when I do a few laps in it. I have a video of the 458 shooting past, must dig it out and post it. Cheers Guys, Damo

Some say the most economical speed for the F is 80mph, because the engine gets the right amount of air. Best MPG I've seen is 33.
