  1. Happy Birthday twotone!

  2. Great choice mate!! My brother has one and its a hoot to drive :D
  3. Check out the Store section on Skype regarding plantronics headsets. Certain retailers have special offer...you get 120 free minutes for SkypeOut. I'm in the UK and ordered mine from www.dabs.com. Here is a link from the UK version of Skype site CLICK HERE
  4. Check out www.pocketgps.co.uk for lots of info on GPS Sat Nav for handheld devices. They also have a forum section and are a very friendly helpful bunch.
  5. Cheers Nick. I had a look at navigon.de its not clear how you go about upgrading and how much. Reading Pocketgps site it seems you have send back your hardware or software depending on what your upgrading. But no info about that on navigon.de. They don't make it simple! :mat:
  6. Those that know me here know i had a IS200 Sport while missus has a Civic Type-R. CTR is a fantastic car for flying around and having tonnes of fun. The IS Sportis fun but a different kind. It works a treat for a relaxing drive as well as fun when you put the foot down Depends what your looking for really . Do you want full on vtec madness all the time or the comfort of your Lexus plus its performance when you're pushing 4K revs I've been driving CTR + 225bhp Audi TT for a month now and I still miss my IS Sport.
  7. Nick thanks for pointing that out but i don't understand how its free? The reviewer said he paid $206 pounds. Am i getting the wrong end of the stick? I would love that as I drive for work a lot.
  8. For specific info on the Medion GPS kit go to the forum section of the website linked above and go to the section called NAVIGON. I also own the Aldi kit and fully recommend it. Its saved me 3 points and $60 with the POI Warner camera software. Im also using it now writing this reply wireless from my livingroom(purchase of wireless equipment required).
  9. Good point about the returns policy but you do get 3 years guarantee. The GPS receiver gets power from the cigarette adaptor.
  10. Tchibo are offering their version of the Medion/Navigon package for £269 (plus £3.50 delivery). This is quite a dramatic reduction in price from the £399 they were charging a couple of months ago. It seems almost identical to the Aldi package except that it includes some earphones and, apparently, loudspeakers (?). I think that the PDA carries the TCM brand name, rather than Medion and the slip case appears to be slightly different. It looks like the offer might only be available on-line. Click www.tchibo.co.uk for the site, then put this number (0005587) into the 'Search' box. I purchased this from Aldi only branded as 'Medion' and it is great. I've used the GPS for work as I travel a fair bit. Added camera warning software and also bought a wireless card for it so I can browse the forum while watching the football downstairs :winky:
  11. that second goal was beautiful. i thought they where on for third just there
  12. Cheers lads. Just been to JJB and picked up a Southampton shirt; )
  13. Cheers I'll have a look through that later :)
  14. Thank you for this posting!! Otherwise I never would have got my new toy!! I've been having great fun with this! Downloaded POI-Warner so I could download all the POIs(Point of interests) like speed cameras, hotels etc. Set off for our local 30mph Truvelo speed camera and as I approached it a voice warned me "Danger zone ahead", I was doing 40mph before I could see the camera and a voice warned me "Slow down your speed is in excess of the speed limit". The icon on the screen showed 30mph sign. I'm off to Portsmouth tomorrow for work so I've created my self a route on the maps on the PC and exported that to th Pocket PC. See if it willl find my hotel and warn me its coming up.
