  1. Great choice mate!! My brother has one and its a hoot to drive :D
  2. Check out the Store section on Skype regarding plantronics headsets. Certain retailers have special offer...you get 120 free minutes for SkypeOut. I'm in the UK and ordered mine from www.dabs.com. Here is a link from the UK version of Skype site CLICK HERE
  3. Check out www.pocketgps.co.uk for lots of info on GPS Sat Nav for handheld devices. They also have a forum section and are a very friendly helpful bunch.
  4. Cheers Nick. I had a look at navigon.de its not clear how you go about upgrading and how much. Reading Pocketgps site it seems you have send back your hardware or software depending on what your upgrading. But no info about that on navigon.de. They don't make it simple! :mat:
  5. Those that know me here know i had a IS200 Sport while missus has a Civic Type-R. CTR is a fantastic car for flying around and having tonnes of fun. The IS Sportis fun but a different kind. It works a treat for a relaxing drive as well as fun when you put the foot down Depends what your looking for really . Do you want full on vtec madness all the time or the comfort of your Lexus plus its performance when you're pushing 4K revs I've been driving CTR + 225bhp Audi TT for a month now and I still miss my IS Sport.
  6. Nick thanks for pointing that out but i don't understand how its free? The reviewer said he paid $206 pounds. Am i getting the wrong end of the stick? I would love that as I drive for work a lot.
  7. For specific info on the Medion GPS kit go to the forum section of the website linked above and go to the section called NAVIGON. I also own the Aldi kit and fully recommend it. Its saved me 3 points and $60 with the POI Warner camera software. Im also using it now writing this reply wireless from my livingroom(purchase of wireless equipment required).
  8. Good point about the returns policy but you do get 3 years guarantee. The GPS receiver gets power from the cigarette adaptor.
  9. Tchibo are offering their version of the Medion/Navigon package for £269 (plus £3.50 delivery). This is quite a dramatic reduction in price from the £399 they were charging a couple of months ago. It seems almost identical to the Aldi package except that it includes some earphones and, apparently, loudspeakers (?). I think that the PDA carries the TCM brand name, rather than Medion and the slip case appears to be slightly different. It looks like the offer might only be available on-line. Click www.tchibo.co.uk for the site, then put this number (0005587) into the 'Search' box. I purchased this from Aldi only branded as 'Medion' and it is great. I've used the GPS for work as I travel a fair bit. Added camera warning software and also bought a wireless card for it so I can browse the forum while watching the football downstairs :winky:
  10. that second goal was beautiful. i thought they where on for third just there
  11. Cheers lads. Just been to JJB and picked up a Southampton shirt; )
  12. Cheers I'll have a look through that later :)
  13. Thank you for this posting!! Otherwise I never would have got my new toy!! I've been having great fun with this! Downloaded POI-Warner so I could download all the POIs(Point of interests) like speed cameras, hotels etc. Set off for our local 30mph Truvelo speed camera and as I approached it a voice warned me "Danger zone ahead", I was doing 40mph before I could see the camera and a voice warned me "Slow down your speed is in excess of the speed limit". The icon on the screen showed 30mph sign. I'm off to Portsmouth tomorrow for work so I've created my self a route on the maps on the PC and exported that to th Pocket PC. See if it willl find my hotel and warn me its coming up.
  14. Hi all, I heading down to Portsmouth for work tomorrow. Hopefully coming home on Wednesday. The thing is I don't have any work for the Tuesday so I've got a day to myself in Portsmouth!! So anyone know the area or surrounding areas of interest?? Cheers, Mark.
  15. Hi All, This is TwoTone's big brother here and I have a technical problem which Mark (2Tone) suggested I bring to your attention. Just installed Norton Anti-Virus on my laptop (XP, Office 2000) and now cannot get AOL to connect. It dials up, looks looks like it connects and then instantly throws me back out. Any ideas on how I should customise Norton to allow AOL to run properly? cheers, Carl
  16. I'm not clued on PDAs at all so this maybe be a silly question. Can you set this up to warn about speed cameras like Road Angel/SNOOPER/ORIGINBLUE etc.??
  17. What about the Porterhouse on Parliment St. Great pub and I know the original Porterhouse in Bray(just outside Dublin) does great food so I'd check out if the Dublin one does, if so your laughing!
  18. WOW! Glad your ok bud. Thats fierce damage!
  19. Yes go take some site photos, it helps to give your insurance company as much info as possible. Send the photos with your description of what happened. Take photos of the damage to your car as well to help them picture what happened while they read your account of the accident.
  20. Just turned on to channel 416 Motors TV on sky. Austrlian GT Performance racing with, GOLF R32 BMW M3 SUBARU STI EVO 8 350Z and more! full on racing next race is just starting with 29 cars.....I'm off to watch it hope some of you catch it too!
  21. Sorry I'm a day late! Happy Birthday Jim ;) Hope you had a great day and I know it had to of been better than mine as my car sold yesterday and I watched it drive away knowing I'd never see her again.
  22. I advertised mine on Autotrader website for 2 weeks and got no calls. I then changed my price and re-advertised it in Autotrader magazine and website. I had 3 phonecalls from people interested and about 5-7 calls from agencies giving me some bull that they had someone waiting to buy my car! Don't bother with these people its a waste of time/money as my colleagues and friends found out. Finally on Sunday I got a genuine call from a nice chap in Birmingham who ask a few questins then said can I come see it this week. He turned up today and we did a deal.
  23. Welcome to the club: ) Congrats on your new toy! I'm sure there will be someone along soon with answers for you: )
