  1. Just as a matter of interest, has anyone still got a series one?
  2. I have a MK2 LS and I have used KYB without any problem. they don't come with the top 'rubber cushion'
  3. IF you can get to it from the back, lightly hammering it out to a shallow dent and then body filler to level it is as good as a garage will do.[use a piece of wood in front of the hammer if it helps] If you haven't done it before, don't go mad with the filler, fill and flat down, 80 grit paper and fill again if needed
  4. Hi It's a Joying Android 5.1.1, check their website or EBAY. You can guess the country of origin!
  5. Pretty good eh! That's a download from Youtube! I made it fit so I could revert back to the old radio if it blows up!
  6. Hi The last of the early LS owners like me, might like my change of radio!
  7. !993 LS, hooray!, I thought there was only me left. with a mark two.......
  8. Topped up with automatic transmission fluid........check whats right for yours!
  9. Check the power steering fluid is topped up. A friend with a series one LS had this problem, dealer changed the belt idler still squeeked. Topped up the fluid whilst engine running [and squeeking] went quiet, was OK thereafter!
  10. As above when I first got my '94 The alarm would go off for no apparent reason. It never happened again after fitting a new car battery. It might be worth checking the door switches......
  11. Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all! :hohoho:
  12. As above, silicone or Teflon spray, assuming they are not mechanically seized
  13. Rear 1/4 panel, bumper, lights, it could be done, Not if the boot floor is buckled, then its too far gone. Second hand parts, plenty about, shame it's not the other side as it looks like the fuel tank would have to come out, welding near the neck would be too dodgy for me.
  14. Before I spent £420 I would try the one on Ebay less than £15, worth a gamble The unit is located in front if the gear lever and plugs in. Turn ignition key to lock position. Disconnect the battery and wait a minute before starting work When I had this problem with mine [after removing most of the dashboard etc for another reason] the ABS light was on. I put in a second hand unit [Ebay] and the light was still on. I read about a sequence of alternatively earthing Tc terminal and AB terminal twice in 1 second cycles, finally keeping the earth to Tc. This worked after a couple of tries and the second hand airbag unit is still in [several years later] My '94 may not be the same but I would check before spending £400+, if you replace it and there is a fault the light will still be on.
  15. my '94 ucf10 has two cats.......
  16. That'll teach me not to guess, never seen under the bonnet of an IS !!
  17. Doubt the single missing locating screws would make any difference as the wheel bolts it all up tight. Check you didn't loose any balancing weights off the wheels when doing the job!
  18. Did you check the hub was super clean before fitting the discs? Any dirt causing the disc to 'run out' [of true] will cause/aggravate this problem. Had Blueprint on the front of mine for a few thousand miles no problem
  19. Steve, it will be one of them tins of butane used for lighters....
  20. If this job is on a 400 and you are taking the motor off, when the starter bolts are removed, clean the threads perfectly. Then cut a good screwdriver slot in the threaded end. When refitting, use a screwdriver to 'wind them back in' as far as you can, then finish with a spanner as usual. As you can only get little more than a quarter turn on them with a spanner, this will speed up assembly, it works.... I dId it on mine!
