Thanks for the info. I'll check the part number tomorrow when it is light. But I still don't know and where to get the part from? I only want 1 Is a Genuine Toyota dealer the only possible option? Thanks, Graeme. -
Hi All, I was driving when all of a sudden my car started making a noise like it wasn't firing on all 4 cyclinders. I then pulled the plugs of the coils and listerned to the tone of the engine. I found that when I removed one of them the engine noise didn't alter. I then swapped a coil for another one which transferred the fault. After doing this I am putting the fault it down to a coil. Therefore I am asking if anyone knows where is the best place to buy one? And how much would it cost? Thanks, Graeme...

I haven't done anything before hand. But have since changed the air filter and plugs. A friend pulled the fuses for the ecu, will that reset the ecu? I am having plans to have a cam belt change and general service and will then clean the maf at the same time. Hopefully that will help.

Hi all, I have a Altezza 1999 which I have been very happy with. However I have just recently had problems with the acceration. When I get to 5000rpm I was used to getting put back in the seat. But as I get to 5000rpm now it hits a bit of a flat spot and doesn't perform like it used to. Has anyone got any ideas what could cause this? Thank you Ned... :)

Hi I have a 99 Altezza and want to service it. This service will include the cam belt plus tensioner , alternator belt and power steering belt. I would like to know where I can get these at the best price? Can anyone advise. After having to replace my battery twice in about 3 years I am wondering which size I should go for. I've got a 99' rs200 with a 35 amp one. To prevent future problems is this under rated? Thanks...Ned

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas to noise I get when I start the engine. It is gurgling noise that sounds like a circulation of some fluid? I've checked the levels of all possible causes i.e rad, steering etc. This didn't used to make this sound. Thanks Ned...

Altezza Head Unit

I went to halfords and a guy gave me the correct leads to convert my Altezza to a Sony head unit. :) He also ordered a double din fascia which is for the is200\rs200. I thought I'd update in case any one else ever wants to do the same. Ned... -
I have a Sony MEX-R1 head unit that I want to fit in my RS200 but obvoiusly none of the connections are the same. I will also need the din plate but don't know if it is a single or double size needed. If any one could help me out it would be great. i.e best person to contact. Thank you Ned...

I have got a crack on the plastic around the air con, hazzard etc. The switch gear is ok but I need a replacement for the surround as it is very ugly Can the plastic be replaced and if so where would I be able to get a replacement? Thank you Ned... ;)

I am doing an inspection of my front brake pads and found that once the wheel is off the disc floats between the pads. Is this normal and the wheel being the only means of keeping the disc tight in position? Cheers Ned

The eer1 seemed to have now returned to err3 so I whipped the stereo out and found a disc in there but can't get it out as it doesn't line up with the slot. There appears to be a gear system to raise\lower the unit so I thought by manually trying to do this I could get it to line up. But it only raised one side, any ideas what the next step would be? And finally what sort of price am I looking at for a 2nd hand unit? Thanks Ned

I had the err3 message and thought i'd try pulling the fuse. It looked like the problem had gone away. Then after trying to put a disc in it came up with the same error code again. So again I tryed the fuse and once replaced i now have err1. What does this mean? Cheers Ned.

I am now experiencing the same type of problems, is there any chance it could be front bushes. If so how easy is to replace them I have done them on a previous car and it was quite simple?
