  1. I always thought the TRC in the IS200 was a very basic system and just seemed to cut power - it was downright dangerous at times as I had a few scary moments coming onto roundabouts! VSC as used in the IS300 and other Lexus models is a much better system - I was amazed how much better the Aristo handled the snow!
  2. I've got a brand new TTE Black ECU that's never been fitted to a car if you want to buy that?
  3. Hope all goes well with the doctors mate, sounds a pretty serious op there!
  4. That steering wheel is nice mate :) The car sounds great, I'd forgotten how much noise those things make when you let your foot off! And to think I did about 30k miles like that :D
  5. Quality, I could put a few things in but most of them are too rude! Try camel toe though! And another related but even better version of the above is erm, well pretend it starts with M1, and then it's got NGE on the end, and just change the 1 for an I - and you're there! And the other is something that women fake a lot supposedly - and I'm not on about how much they spent on shoes!
  6. What's the silver ECU type looking thing - is that the standard TTE silver ECU that's always referred to as I've never actually seen one of them! And shameless plug - I have a brand new TTE Black ECU sitting in a jiffy bag :)
  7. Have to admit I liked the IS in an auto, it's a much more relaxed car, it was smoother too :) I much prefer driving the Aristo with the autobox to a 308 I've got that's a manual. The Peugeot is actually alright, I do like it to be fair and it can be a lot of fun as it does feel pretty quick, although I know deep down the Aristo would murder it even when I'm having a relaxed drive :D It's seeing the MPG counter sitting at 50+ that gets me though as opposed to the 12 in the Aristo that keeps me happy when I'm going slow though!
  8. Haha think Ade means the way it's laid out like the watch Matt! Basically you've got the Speedo and Rev counter as the large ones and then in the smaller bits you've got water temp, MPG and I think battery voltage - can't really remember exactly as it's been a few years since I've been sat in an IS! And on the other side the fuel gauge and if it's an Auto you get the gear indicators.
  9. Congratulations on the wedding fella! Everythings looking immense, hadn't seen this thread for ages but looks the nuts!
  10. After the amount of ale I've got through this weekend I don't want to see any ever again but give me a few weeks and I could be tempted
  11. As long as you've got a box of tissues to hand I'm sure that'd be fine I haven't been to Blackpool for ages - keep meaning to head up there for a night on the booze but have never made it the past few years!
  12. Only two fill ups a month?! Wish I did that sort of milage! I was getting through a tank every three days in the Aristo :o Luckily I've got a diesel as well now so that's much more economical, still getting through a tank a week though!
  13. They've already sneaked a couple of pence a litre on here before this comes in - they're taking the *****!
  14. What makes you say the AMD is better than the Intel mate? I bought a new Toshiba Satellite Pro from a place in Huddersfield called Laptops Direct recently - was well happy with the service and just went to pick it up :) They've got some good deals on there: http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/ Also I noticed on eBuyer they are offering a laptop without an OS which has a decent spec - don't think it's in stock at the moment though but it should be in soon: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167514 Bit of a bargain if you've already got an OS to go on there :)
  15. I've just been doing a spot of tidying and found a brand new TTE black box - ie the bit that is connected into the ECU loom so that the factory ECU can deal with seeing positive boost from the supercharger. What are these things actually worth as I've not been around the IS200 scene for a while? Thanks in advance :)
  16. That sounds awesome! Bet you can't wait to get it on the road now mate as that's going to be a right torquey beast :D
  17. They're all the same mate, just run them through the software from the iPhone Dev Team and you're away :)
  18. Sounds like an epic journey! I'm not going to mention the ladyboys
  19. Not 100% sure of the symptoms they get to be honest dude, my back passenger side door plays up in the cold and doesn't lock with the key, you just have to make sure it's flipped manually and it's ok then. Weird as when it gets a bit warmer it works fine! Think it's just on the way out mate. When you say manual lock do you mean you can't flip the switch from inside the car as if not it's definitely not the actuator mate?
  20. That range GS does have a problem with the actuators, I've got that in mine, just haven't gotten around to changing them :) If you go on the US ClubLexus site there's a load of info over there and other ways they've gotten around it by using cheapo ones off eBay :)
  21. Congratulations mate! So how do you get back now then?!
  22. They would have done but Tigerfish already bought them for his car :)
  23. Congratulations there Redz, that's awesome mate! I was blown away by your sound system last time I saw you, it's a seriously impressive setup!
  24. Exactly right - and the MK2 GS :) Only the very latest models were Lexus exclusive and not released anywhere under the Toyota name - the others at the end of the day were all Toyota's depending on what market they were sold to :)
