  1. Dimitris means Dave Ellen at Prolex - his website is http://www.prolex-uk.com/ He's also a member on here with the username Prolex-UK :)
  2. Blimey here's a way to bump an old thread: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=26941 The full video including sound can be downloaded from here: http://www.goldmembers.co.uk/loc/media/SantaPod2005.mp4 I'm not as fat as in Waddy's pic in there either anymore! :)
  3. I inititally fitted mine without any lube and every gear was like that!! Might be worth popping it back out, lubing it all up and try refitting it to see if that makes any difference? After that it wasn't too bad at all :)
  4. Shouldn't worry about it - they're all exceeding what it's expecting so your car will just be adjusting to the new fuel as you go back to standard fuel :) It'll probably be grateful you're treating it to the expensive stuff
  5. Me too :D I read that they've redone it all now and slashed 12 zeros off the currency so the top note is actually a Z$100 value - even so they're a bargain for the couple of quid you can get them on eBay :) They could have done with these for the Austin Powers film!
  6. Happy birthday mate :) Hope you're well fella, time is certainly flying by, it's because we're all old now :P Have a great day whatever you get up to!
  7. They're at it again now! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport...one/8141428.stm
  8. Nowadays they're all very similar - to be honest I wouldn't have thought you'd notice anywhere near the difference between the 95 RON and the 98 or 99 RON stuff you can get - the car is mapped to run on 95 so I'd be inclined to run it on that - you may see better economy on the 98 or 99 stuff but in a standard car I wouldn't personally bother. Just give it a bit of throttle every now and then to clear all the crap out the back, always looks awesome when you do that for the first time in ages just as someone is right up your arse on the motorway :)
  9. No worries dude, it's a pain when these things start playing up!
  10. Hi, welcome to LOC :) Not actually sure but if you have a look here for the relevant sensor, it should give you a good idea of where it's located as it has diagrams of every part and where they're located: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/s?v=E_1997_LE...KW&s=sensor I'm assuming that's the right chassis number, but if not that site has all of them on there anyway :)
  11. That's weird mate, I get 10 seconds but assume they've just set up the timeouts for a standard user and gold member differently as you can change them all per usergroup. Might be worth logging out of the site, and then logging back in to clear any cookies etc, I'm guessing you're using Internet Explorer on Vista then? If so might be a good time to try Firefox - http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firef...〈=en-GB - and see if you get the same problem with that mate?
  12. That's about as far as my knowledge goes I think some of the guys were having issues with the cars where either there was a problem with water damage to one of the PCBs in the footwell from where the windscreen had been replaced incorrectly in the past, maybe something like that, or also I think maybe problems with the door closed sensors not working right - might be worth just sitting in the car and seeing if the door open light is working properly as all the doors are opened and closed?
  13. Do you get the same error with both of these links: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...;CODE=getactive http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...amp;CODE=getnew You'd have to wait ten seconds though between otherwise you will get the error
  14. It normally only does that if you try and use it twice in ten seconds or within ten seconds of another search - sometimes I do it as I'll press the button twice by accident and get that error?
  15. No worries mate, welcome to the club by the way :) Where did you get the car from as think there are some regulations saying if you get a problem within so many days they have to sort it? You could used to deactivate the interior sensors by pressing the lock again after it's locked initially, on some it deadlocked them and on others it deactivates the sensors, can't remember which is which though - might be worth a go to see if it makes any difference as that would at least rule the sensors out?
  16. Yeah it's alright here dude - are you getting an error or anything?
  17. Just wondering if maybe your car battery is on the way out - I've got an aftermarket alarm on mine and that starts to go off when the battery gets low? How does the car turn over etc when you start it? Does it come straight up or sound like it's struggling?
  18. Welcome to the club mate, that's a lovely car you've got there! I love the Soarers, it must go like the clappers too :)
  19. Aren't they decomissioning the FM transmitters in a few years anyway which is going to force everyone to DAB? Have to admit I've not heard any DAB stuff yet, all the stuff I like I have to stream over the net from sites such as http://ah.fm and http://di.fm and where possible I usually sign up to the premium bit so I can get 320Kbps and it sounds lovely :)
  20. I think that's the seperate grille for the standard bumper - the TTE was an all in one job with mesh everywhere - is it just the mesh you want to replace?
  21. Bloody hell that went cheap - I'd have picked it up for that - half tempted to get a 300 if I ever get rid of the Aristo!
