  1. Happy Birthday Steve ... and I just talked to Steve ... he claims he is 29 ...
  2. if you do not care about the make ... go for the Kia Sorento ... one of the best price/performance SUV
  3. Even the Aristo TT use the same sized brake pads and rotors as the GS or IS/Altezza. The brake calipers of the GS and the Aristo TT are the same, and are the same size as the IS/Altezza, but the brackets of the IS/Altezza are different to the GS/Aristo. Many people in Asia upgrade the stock Aristo TT calipers, since many feel that the clamping power is not enough.
  4. The GS is tuned more for comfort than performance. Did you bleed your brakes and replaced the brake oil? Did you check the condition of your pads and rotors? Replacing your pads with new pads will improve the brake feeling a lot. Also, lowering your car (using lowering springs or coilovers) will greatly improve the handling of your car. If that is not enough, you can consider getting sway bars, front lower chassis brackets and rear chassis brackets. It will make the GS chassis much stiffer and even better than a Bimmer.
  5. do you have an silencer? It's a piece of metal that goes into the tip?
  6. The IS300 springs will fit the IS200 / Altezza and vice versa. However, due to the different weights of the car, the actual lowering may be different and the cars may handle different. Also, in some countries, like Germany, installing IS300 springs in an IS200 would cause TUV problems...
  7. What about these :P come in real carbon fibre or paintable fiberglass sorry about the poor pic. I will try to get some better ones
  8. if these are HID bulbs, most likely is that they will turn blue-ish due to its use... not yellowish ... post some pics of the bulbs ...

  10. send me a pm with you phone no ... we may arrange a mini meet ....
  11. probably it make sense to post some pics of your car ... since these are parallel imported cars and configurations may differ...
  12. Did you try to replace the standard 10A fuse with a 15A fuse? As discussed, the ballasts draw a lot of power when turning these on, which may just not blow the fuse, but will hamper the power flow a little
  13. It helps when entering or leaving your car in the dark ... I won't step that easily in anymore ...
  14. I just installed these DSR Underbody LEDS ... what do you think?
  15. do all the functions work? If yes, then only the LCD screen has gone bad. Try to source another one from a wrecker ...
  16. The ARS Cancelor looks like: Basically, all the Aristo TT have ARS (which is not available on the Lexus models), and this was designed to add some active rear steering aid. However, not every one is fond of this function and this is also prone to fail. The Toms ARS cancellor is designed to eliminate (cancel) the ARS. Estimated cost is approx. GBP230 - 250 (ex. shipping) :duh: Toms is expensive
  17. Colin, i think you got my point The mainstream car is IS and nothing exciting has come out for years. Also the GS has been out for a long time, and for Europe the current Lexus is missing a (high performance) turbodiesel.
  18. My choices ... at this moment ... if I would change my car (but i am not ) VW Touareg Audi A6 Mercedes E sorry...
