  1. I;d say he was driving like an idiot.. went in way too hot, it was almost as if he didn't even see the 106. Which means he has no respect for drivers around him. Ban Him.

benefit of mapping alone, especially with a apexi power fc is why i have good results.. the mapping was done very well indeed, Thor Racing really know there stuff, and there prices are very good too. oh, i run 0.10-0.15 more boost pressure to a std. blitz s/c kit as i have a custom pulley

I have been running a s/c for nearly 2 and 1/2 yrs, but from a stock ECU. produced around 270-280hp like that, but never gave me true performance due to ECU not being upto the task. Installed complete standalone ECU which after mapping gave me net result of 300HP+ Look in my garage to see all my engine mods.

Car was mapped today. 262RWHP, thats about 315HP :winky:
  8. Always ground from the same place, at less than 0.5m to your amps. Power Caps... We sell them.. Hell no do we! I have LOADS in stock, we simply don't sell them because its against what we preach... Power Caps.. not worth it, run a bigger power cable or upgrade your battery :winky:
  9. They can fit, but will require some work too. You might need to put some negative camber on to tuck them in some, obviously this will kill your tyre wear. use some stretched tyres for more clearance too.
  10. PFCs are made to order. There are plenty of ebay sellers claiming they have 50 in stock ready to go. Its simply not true! The average supplier should take 30 days MAX! to get one. Any longer... there simply pulling your chain! If you have the N/A PFC, and a Turbo you will have issues, but you can get around it. The MAF will most likely max out on voltage... I know.. i am! but there are optional air intake options on the PFC to overcome it... Otherwise your looking at fitting possibly a Supra TT AFM sensor.
  11. Don't see the point of High Comp gasket.. maybe have a look at the TODA high comp stroker kit. If your going away from VVTi, have the PFC mapped, it trully optimises VVTi cams, it will feel like its boosted when its done the torque is vastly improved!
  12. Hiya, There are 2 PFCs for the Altezza (4 if you count the late model ones) but 2 meaning, one for Turbo/Boosted engine, and one for N/A setup. Brash Boys are very handy with the PFC, especially when it comes to making it work with the 5AT. The PFC is probably the best mods you can do on the BEAMS engine. You can tuned the VVTI cams far better than the Camcon allows you to, enabling you to adj both INT/EXH Cams, unlike the single cam the Camcon does. Ontop of that it disengages the E-Throttle so the response feels much better. I've seen Dyno results of gains as big as 35HP+ from a PFC and mapping. I had a obscure accident on my last motor which led to me rebuilding the motor, then it needing a head gasket change after 3000miles, then just swapping out the engine for a new low mileage unit. Now the new parts have run in some (clutch mainly) its all good to go!
  13. Are you getting all sorted Am ? where are you taking it Thor Racing ? I know them boys have done some very very good work with the altezza engine's :winky: Yup, TDi couldn;t help me, went there last Monday. Thor will be mapping it on Friday.
  14. I have one. Not for sale. Not installed. But thats all going to change Friday <_<
  15. Good to see its getting sorted, give us a buzz when its done... pop ova ;)
  16. Alternatively, you can tap the wire that originates from the gearbox Hope that helps you mate :)
  17. The presentations were on Sunday but the judging took place on Saturday :) Well done to everyone I must say that the judges found it very hard to choose as there were so many wonderful examples there :D Doh, i must of missed the judging then Nevermind :)
  18. Couldn;t JPS fabricate those mounts in house? Hopefully not too long before its all running! :)
  19. My only problem was the head gasket was weeping from the rebuild from that nasty belt accident i had last spring.... So instead of a head gasket job, i decided to change the motor, simply because i had bought one that got at a good price :) Otherwise, its like Noel says, very reliable!
  20. If your struggling for traction (i used to on stock 17s big time) put some wider tyres on the rear.. If your going through tyres in 6 months its worth getting your geometry checked!! the Pilot sports are damn good tyres btw!
  21. If its UK theres 2 that spring to mind, Thor Racing and TDi Power Tuning. What ECU is it?
  22. Scott, IIRC the IS200 6spd MT is the same as the RS200. The Clutch is too, however the flywheel isn;t. If you can get the IS200 tranny you just need to get a clutch/flywheel kit, around £550 notes from JPS Trading on ebay (TODA kit)
  23. If its the throttle body its most likely a dodgy TPS Sensor. It might be worth giving it a good old clean though..
  24. Well done to those who won awards! :) I take it this took place on Sunday?
  25. Was a good event, nice to put some names to faces :) Cheers.
