  1. Put me down for show and shine pls as - Modified
  2. Should be able to take over 1.2bar with those internals... maybe more.. So with him running 0.7bar now (about the same as me) he's taking it very easy. Stock CR is around 11... with those internals its supposed to be 8:7:1.. Not 100% sure on the headroom on the PE turbo, its an IHI turbo unit, don;t know much about those... But with his internals he'll probably want a bigger turbo to make full use of it. Personally i wouldn't go twin turbo, but hey its not my car!
  3. Looks good, although there is a distinct lack of build pics and parts pics!!! However thats a pretty reasonable increase in power as you say. However once its run in i would expect with the correct fueling and mapping to be about to reach 260hp+ at the hubs...
  4. Nice to see someone else doing an install.. Heres mine.. http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album18.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album19.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album20.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album23.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album24.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album25.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album26.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album27.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album28.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album29.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album30.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album34.htm http://www.bladeice.com/Project%20'Day...39;/Album35.htm :winky:
  5. Don't go bigger than 300mm height! well not on the stock bumper...
  6. Very easy, done it on mine.. Got heated seats too.. piece of cake. Hell i have a full IS300 interior now, carpets the works... Alcantara trimmed A/B/C pillars... roof when i get round to it..
  7. Saw this on another forum last yr, its pretty insane :)
  8. That Chris is the going rate for the Beams engine, there very sought after and rare as rocking horse poo! Considering my head rebuild cost me £1000 i think this is a very good price...
  9. 1) Yes, but i didn;t notice such huge gains in performance as others, probably due to my ride height being pretty low! But still a decent improvement laterally :) 2) No. 3) TRD Yellows... I think they go for £300? However they are fixed, Hochkis (sp?) are the only ones I can think of with 2 position settings... 4) Shouldn't do anything to alter ride comfort, if anything with the decrease in body roll, it will make it more comfortable!
  10. Mr Singh

    Air Filter

For stock air box? Call toyota they can supply it. OR PM Chris S Don't bother with an Induction kit, only gain is 10dB increase in induction roar! performance gain isn't much to brag about unless you do complete exhaust and a Camcon..
  11. Try Rotora... But being those BBKs are dead similar to Stoptechs, i'd persue them.
  12. In that case so would yours. :D
  13. That would end up on barryboys, looks like it got attacked by lard!
  14. Go to Halfords and buy a 775 4 groove belt (775mm in length) Its only a 4 groove V belt, nothing special, about £4
  15. I would say if the seller is providing you with 3 months warranty theres a pretty good chance the motor is fine, its not likely if the engine is muller'd it has a 3 month time'd bomb till it blows! As you know Rob, i pick'd up a low mileage motor for mine for a bargain price ;) The seller let me do all checks, apart from not seeing it running its a perfect :) Personally i'd just get the motor, and i would not settle on paying him what the ad price is, haggle... but thats my middle name ;) Becareful! If you can get a engineers workshop manual. I have one of the head rebuild which i paid to get translated.. cost me a fortune! (30 pages odd) Head set, which will inc. every gasket. seal on the head is around £100 Head bolts, £70 for the set cambelt, £30 Tensioners, £100-150 for the lot (1 tensioner, 2 idlers) Piston rings, no idea... PM Chris S for prices on other parts... All i will say is, DO NOT take apart the cam wheels. its very easy to take them apart as dismantling them from one of the castings that goes on the head can be tricky, and it may appear that the only way is to loosen the bolts on the camwheels... u have to a little to get to the 2 10mm bolts holding that casting to the head... If the camwheels come apart, your better off buying brand new assembled ones, around £100each!! VVTi is a pain the *****!
  16. Newport Pagnell... Probably... only time i'm free though is when i get on LOC Forum haha
  17. I'll have to keep an eye out for this street sleeper in MK :)
  18. You can go 10s on the rear on the right offset... Hell you can go 11s if you were after some serious lippage... I have 9.5s which came on a +55mm offset, now i'm running +38mm and super stretched rubber. It won't help with straight line speed going 19s... but the width defo helps with traction
  19. Want to try a Turbo setup, or and possibly sell the car! Really not sure
  20. It can be done. Alot of fiddling... If you want a Gearbox i have access to one :)
  21. i'd consider selling it seriously :)
  22. Other FMICs can be used :) but at the exspense of making your own boost pipes. Not hard but i couldn't be bothered and bought the full setup, FMIC cost me nearly £550 :( If you really want a s/c kit you can buy mine i'll go turbo haha
  23. Yes it can, infact it is little better with torque off boost due to the loss of length in boost pipes. It won't be as efficent and you'll loose some power, but its no great shakes you can add one after. You'll save yourself money doing it in the first place though :)
