It more than likely Shell or BP perhaps Esso fuel you were using when filling up at Tesco's etc. Safeway is defo BP they have a agreement. But depending on where you stay Tesco's etc will pick up fuel from the nearest oil terminal. Only when there is a shortage will they pick up from the likes of Conoco or Mabanaft. BP Ulitimate is the best (but I would say that I work for BP). See Ya :D

Everyone has their own thoughts. But we also own a V10 Touareg and you can not compare against the RX300 two different cars. Now I think the Lexus is the best thing from slice bread for what it is but if I'm honest the Touareg is a far better 4x4 the road manners are much more superior that the Lexus which came as a big shock to me. Bulk the interior up a bit give it a good few extra bhp and I think the Rx300 would take on and beat any on them.

Ok, This is what to do. Vinegar and water put it on with a cloth wipe of with a micro fibre cloth. Clean your wipers with the vinegar water solution aswell.

It may be to late the stain may have set with the first cleaner you tried. Vinegar get's rid of most stains give it a go.

The RX is best on the road I think.

Would have thought the Zeebrugge - Rosyth ferry would have been quicker for you. We have just returned from Italy down by Vienzia (Venice) Milano (MIlan). Stayed at a camp site near Rosalina Mare. Done 3500 miles in two weeks. Not in a Rx but a Touareg V10. Where are you heading to in Scotland.

Ok things I would change. 1. Arm rests they are hopeless make them more like the Range Rover's so you can adjust the position. 2. Camera on the front. 3. Bigger engine. 4. Ambient lighting to a different colour. 5. Centre console more bulky like a real 4x4.

Are you sure you want to be one of the first to own. Would you not be better to wait a year until they get rid of all the tiny problems that it is sure to have. That way you will love the car even more when it arrives.

Your right the badge is BIG I kinda like it. Have you ever noticed how similar the Lexus and Mazda 6 badge on the boot is.

See that's the problem it is a girly 4x4 infact it is not really a 4x4 and people shouldn't buy it with that in mind I didn't. The video u see when at the volkswagen dealers shows you a Treg V10 pulling a combine harvester in a muddy field it was awesome. The RX is suited to on road driving more capable in the snow etc than what most executive cars.

Well I changed into the Lexus from a Mits Shogun swb it was the pits. looked at the xc90 did not do it for me in the cab. X5 nope my brother has one. Looked at nothing else just bought the toe rag. but I have to admit to fancying a change from the Lexus to the v6 Porche sport I like them but its the price.

Well we traded in a 10month old Range Rover the badge did not bother me in fact I like it. I like the Lexus badge to but not the gold ones yuck. The "toe rag" is a cool nick name thats what I call ours. Listen once you have a drive in their V10 TDi your smitten. But I have the best of both worlds I have my Lexus RX300. The Toe rag. And when I am fed up with suv's I can jump into my Mini Cooper S works see at www.zeemax.com mines is the electric blue one.

Hi, You could be right about the petrol comparisons. However the Touareg we have is the diesel and there is no other power plant in the world that can match it. Worse yet I get a better return for my milage in the Treg than I do in the Lexus. Our Treg has Air Suspension the basic Treg V6 does not so I can not comment on that. But on road handling at 120mph in the Treg (demo we had for the weekend) felt better than the Lexus. I am only sharing with you what my experience has been so far.

I own a Lexus RX 300 se-l which I got in December Last year. My husband picked up the Touareg V10 TDI on the 10th May. Can I just say that I love my RX300. It is quite hard to compare the two the Touareg is a 5litre diesel and 15 grand more. 1. The performance of the V10 is awesome against the rx300 indeed against many a car. 2. Interior cabin build quality I think looks better in the Touareg. 3. Same type of dials but the touareg's cabin interior illumination at night is wicked. 4. No reverse camera in the Touareg now that sucks. 5. The rear light clusters are more cool in the Lexus. 6. No remote opening thingy of the tailgate in the Touareg now that sucks. These things may be from a woman's point of view but it is afterall mostly women that drive the Lexus rx300. Oh and Volkwagen have no idea what's so ever about the Luxury car market. You would think that you have just bought a golf (sorry any golf owners) they are terrible. But on performance I would have the Touareg V10 against any suv. I would however have the Lexus against any of the other engine sizes in the Touareg range no doubt about it.

Hi, I travel 60 miles a day in my RX 50 miles on motorway and I get a average of 21-22 miles per gallon. That's sitting between 70 to 80 mph. It is something to think about as the price of petrol will keep going up. So will LPG the goverment put 9p on the duty of that at the last budget. Maybe the hybrid is the answer.

Hi, Mine too I have the same creaking noise from passenger side when warming up. But my nearest dealer is 2 1/2 hours away so I just put up with it. Perhaps when Edinburgh has estalished what the problem is I will book my car in there. Note to RxMike. I have a Mini Cooper S works and you will not be disapointed best wee car ever. Hi, Well I have a RX and I stay out in the sticks four mile up a single track road off the A9 in Scotland and boy can we get Snow. My RX was fine not a Good as the Freelander or Mits I had but ok never got stuck once. I am running on a set of 20" wheels. However watch out when you are stopping it just like any other automatic take care or you will just keep on sliding.

Hi Sorry to hear that you will NOT buy anything out of "Poundys". I did say you can buy them out of Homebase Halfords etc. Unless anyone is willing to try them. Then you will never know if they are good or not. Someone please try and let me know what you think.
