  1. Lance I got the battery from europarts but it was fine. It was the fuses and the relay which was the problem....all good now apart from the radio which I need to reset! Thanks for the advice all!
  2. Okay so I've just disconnected the black for about an hour or so now. May leave it another half hour or so just to be on the safe side before I connect it up again. Different sites were saying to leave it to reset for different times so gone for the maximum just in case! Thanks for advice guys, much appreciated.
  3. Hi all, some advice please. Old battery was on it's way out so bought a new one and fitted it in today. But now, when I start the car, the dashboard lights don't come on, nor does the clock, radio, the mileage. Only the full beam comes not the half beam or fog lights. Inside the door sensor comes on and the red door light. The car won't lock either. And another strange thing is that the car only revs when the accelerator is pushed right down to the floor. It has a delay. Could it be the electrics? New fuses needed? Could that affect the acceleration? Any help much appreciated ta.
  4. Good point, will tighten them tomorrow and will see how that gets on. Well when I got my tyres replaced, the guy said the hubs are badly corroded, I thought nothing of it. But now it's playing on my mind! It feels the whole car is vibrating from the bottom up, I can't be any more specific because it's like it's the whole car!!
  5. Hi guys, I'm noticing that my drive isn't smooth anymore. There is an almost constant judder/vibration from start to finish on long or short journeys. As my hubs are corroded, could this be causing it? If so, what could be the solution to fix it? Thanks in advance!
  6. Very nice Chris!! :D I'm looking to upgrade next year in summer!!
  7. Hm interesting. I think I would probably give it at least 6 months before I take the plunge of buying new wheels as it is a pricey upgrade for me. And since I've just spent on brand new tyres! But good to know though, thanks!
  8. Do you have 18's? Why do people say that? And also why do most peeps go back to 16's during icy/snowy months?
  9. Hey the size was 205/55.6v. They were Michelin prim 3. I got them from Costco for about £250 including fitting and balance in the price. Guy said my hubs are badly corroded so I think this is my excuse for 17" wheels next year lol
  10. Well done, it's such a nice feeling that eh?!
  11. But since buying brand spanking new ones from Costco on offer, I haven't looked back! I can feel so much of a difference, a lot more smoother! I've always wanted Michelin tyres as well but could never afford them! :D
  12. I'd say it's worth a shot seeing as they're only around a fiver :)
  13. @Venator, such a shame to hear that. :( I was 23 when I bought mine and I was paying £145 per month as a named driver. My renewal was two months before my 25th so I just missed out on a mega saving!! Gutted! But it has still gone down anyway to £80 per month. What petays done makes sense....but I don't think I'm that patient!!
