    Fuel pump ? Mine done this last month, simple swap really its under the back seat passenger side

    Thanks sparky ive messaged you Pete it was turning over as normal but just wouldn't start ( same symptom you would get if you had flooded the accelerator..I had to call the AA out, he located it under the back seat and checked all the wiring feeds were working to the pump,he then knocked it with a hammer and as i turned it over BINGO it started.. Seems a easy enough job to do due to to the excellent engineering location from lexus.. Are you having the same problem?

    I am after one for my is200 auto 99 model if anyone has one spare? second hand or recon i don't mind. Had to call the AA out on monday and after diagnostics they have confirmed the fuel pump is on it's way out. Cheers baz

    I get at least 25 mpg out of mine after giving it a full service and mines auto. I suggest you get it serviced and put decent shell fuel in. Something clearly wrong there 12 mpg

    Cheers for the advice i'll find a good hill tomorrow and give it another go..How long did it take to cure yours ? Also any idea what causes this to happen in the first place ?

    I fitted an aftermarket double din stereo *xtrons* its brilliant..Its got bluetooth so the iphone connects easily so i can play all my music and answer the phone via the system using the car speakers and built in microphone.

    I cant be completely sure that both sides always blowed hot,as i was thinking maybe ive just noticed it because of the cold weather and having the heater on more.I do recall the gurgling noise when i forst bought the car though so maybe it has always been there.. I had a go today at removing the rad cap and it has helped but still not perfect..I'll try again over the weekend and if all else fails will probably get a coolant flush done after the new year.

    hi,i topped up my anti freeze last month,but as far as i know i am not aware if the coolant system has ever been drained. Ive had the car 6 months now and the heater was deffo working both sides when i bought it. It does seem like a air lock as like i say i can here the gurgle on start up when cold..Do you know if there is any sort of bleeding nipple or valve to let the air out or would i need to do a full flush? thanks

    When i first start my car up in the morning i can hear a gurgling from behind the dashboard.Also when i i put my blower on its blowing cold air out of passenger side vents but hot air from drivers side.. Not using any water or overheating could it be my servo? because i notice when i change the vent setting i can hear a grumble from behind the dash..

    Mines exactly the same,i gave it a full service with all good parts and it made no difference.Like you say once its warmed up it goes back to normal

    I share your pride mate. Awesome car just fully serviced mine myself and fitted a double din dvd/sat nav which brings the car up to modern spec. Must admit It is running almost perfect for a 99 model car. Amazing

    you are getting 2 mpg more as the stated town driving for auto is 20 mpg. 29mpg figure will be for both town and motorway driving so if you dont drive on motorway you wont achieve this figure. Cheers john,her in doors does alot of local commuting with the kids so i suppose its not to bad for a automatic 2.0 six cylinder engine.

    I am getting about 22 mpg driving round town is this normal..? car has just had full sevice as well cheers baz
